I just left my car at a local tire store to get some new rubber for my Mustang.
I was first in line as the store opened for the day at 7 o'clock.
The manager unlocked the door, but there was no 'crew' to be seen, which I thought was kinda unusual.
There are six bays but only one guy showed up for work.
A white guy.
I left the key with the manager as I work across the street, and I told him I'd call. He said they may not be able to get to it today....................
Stock market closed for this horse shit?

Why do we have a black history month? Why do we have a federal holiday, Juneteenth, celebrating blacks. This is wrong and sends the wrong message and both should be eliminated.
The ONLY thing that is important to me is June 19th is my 50th wedding anniversary!
I think it started in Texas. It’s supposed to be a kind of Emancipation Day thing except they can’t acknowledge that a Republican freed the slaves.

Sounds like a problem with how the business is run. If you’re going to give almost all your guys the day off, you should probably give ALL your guys the day off and be closed. That’s not a problem with Juneteenth, that’s a problem with the owner.
It became a holiday because someone noticed Trump had a rally scheduled on it, even though at the time, no one outside of Texas even knew about Juneteenth.
Fake in that slaves in the NORTHERN SLAVE STATES that did not join the Confederacy did not have their freedom until the 13 amendment was ratified in Dec 1865. From what I have read, Kentucky and Delaware were the last holdouts to the end.
It’s a national chain tire store, so the manager can’t do anything about it. There are other stores that have the same problem. If you complain, you’re a racist........................
Plus I don’t think they gave them the day off, they just took it.
Way back before MLK was an actual federal holiday, blacks where I used to work in a factory just didn’t show up that day, but nobody dared to say anything about it............................
Well that’s not true. I know about Juneteenth celebrations in Atlanta in the 90s. People should really stop whining about this. It’s a free day off, at least for a lot of us, mostly jobs that are mostly white people I’ve noticed. That Murica for you. “Let’s celebrate the end of slavery by giving all the white people a day off”.
I didn’t say it was the manager’s fault. I said it was the owner’s. And if they took it sick good for them.
