Ireland 'exposed' over reliance on fossil fuels in transport - CCAC

Ireland’s dependence on fossil fuels in transport is leaving the country exposed to repeated fuel price shocks as global energy markets remain disrupted, the Climate Change Advisory Council (CCAC) has warned.

Accelerated investment in public transport, active travel, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and grid capacity would reduce this exposure, the council said in the transport chapter of its 2026 Annual Review.

Temporary emergency responses to fuel price increases were not sufficiently targeted, it said, recommending that those most exposed and least able to avoid fuel costs be given support.

Welcoming the Government’s pilot scrappage scheme to incentivize the purchase of new EVs, the CCAC said measures were needed to increase EV uptake among lower-income households, particularly in areas with high car dependency and limited access to public transport. …

...Climate Change Advisory Council (CCAC) has warned...

That is all you need to know to realize the rest is lies to support their scam. They insist EV's are the solution when you have to generate that electricity somewhere. Not only that but those cars are heavier. When the Chinese ones get in a wreck they catch on fire. Good luck putting that out. Lithium reacts with water. An entire ship full of EV's had to be abandoned after a fire started.

Really/ so what’s the alternatives: literal horse power, human-drawn rickshaws, bicycles?

They’re trying to push EVs again.

Ireland’s biggest problem is immigration. This energy stuff is a distraction. There is no problem with using carbon based fuels.

I would call it invasion, myself.

And yes; all of the stuff with respect to the climate and other hoaxes are indeed distractions, meant to keep the people off their feet as it were.

They got lots of peat. Oh wait, they’re screwed, that causes CO2 also. On the other hand, I wouldn’t worry about Ireland. Once the Muzzies take over all that climate change crap will be forgotten.

Yes; they’re actually going after people who harvest their own peat, now.

Or, they could resume drilling and extracting energy from the North sea

“They’re trying to push EVs again.”

indeed, but:

1. that’s a LONG term “solution”

2. 100% EV fleet, power, power distribution, and charger infrastructure for a 100% EV fleet, including trains, trucks, construction, safety, and automobiles is an even LONGER term “solution”, costs trillions of dollars, and windmills, solar panels, and Unicorn farts STILL won’t do the job ...

About one third of all Americans, and perhaps one half of white Americans, trace their ancestries to Britain and Ireland. That is especially true in the South and the Border States, as well as Utah, Massachusetts, and Northern New England. Their ancestral homelands are on a long slide into Third World level economies and societies. Not that the Germanic countries of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, from which about 20% of all Americans are descended, particularly in the Northern Plains states, and to a lesser extent the Northwest, Pennsylvania, and the Great Lakes states, are much better. Western Europe is on the same downward spiral. So are we, although Trump has been slowing the speed of the decline.

There are estimated to be five times as many Irish-descended people in the USA than native Irish in Ireland, including Northern Ireland IINM. The worldwide figure is of course much higher, but the USA’s number is very significant.

The best thing that Ireland can do is tell the CCAC to go f*ck off.

Yes. Another “independent” body that is not independent of the EEAC (aka the European Environment and Sustainable Development Advisory Councils Network), which is yet another EUSSR bludgeon.
