Late last week, the San Francisco Giants hosted their "Pride Night," with the team wearing hats with a rainbow-colored Giants logo.
Several Giants pitchers, in a statement of their faith, wrote Bible verse designations on their hats. One, starting pitcher Landen Roupp, addressed his reasoning after the game, saying that the verse is about representing "God's covenant."
"It's just about God's covenant and a promise that he makes to us that, you know, his faithfulness and his mercy," Roupp said to reporters. "That's just kind of something I believe in, and I stand firm in that, and I'm thankful we live in a country where, you know, we have the freedom to believe what we want ... and express what we want.
"There's no hate at all. It’s just what I stand for, and what I stand in. I believe in God," he added Naturally, that public expression of Christian faith did not go over well with left-wing sportswriters who criticized Roupp and his teammates. Well, those critics will be overjoyed to hear that Major League Baseball has now officially stepped in.
Per The Athletic, an MLB official has now "warned" those players against violating the rules and writing on their cap.
"The writing on the cap violates our rules, and consistent with normal practice, we have warned the players about future violations," said Pat Courtney, MLB’s chief communications officer, in a statement.

Hell, the MFL lets them write that stuff on the playing field. What the hell is wrong with the MLB Hot Dog munchers? Do they hate God that much that they put sexual deviants first?
Pro baseball cannot survive without those Godly and courageous pitchers.
However, pro baseball would get along just fine without Pat Courtney (whoever that is).
>> Do they hate God that much that they put sexual deviants first?
In a word, YES.
I appreciate your post. It makes sense.
Good for them, in San Fran Sicko no less.
Another affirmation of why professional sports is dead to me, be it MLB, NFL, NHL, OR THE REST.
Since the Giants are about making every “community” feel welcome and respected at Giants games, ask them if we will soon see Drunk Drivers Pride nights or Pedophilia Pride nights or Satanism Pride nights? I’m sure these groups would love to have their identities supported and recognized.
Seems to me anyone who pays for their ticket and sits down and enjoys the game and doesn’t misbehave is welcome. Why do players have to wear rainbows on their hats before gays can “feel welcome”? Sports should stop doing this entirely. It’s stupid and players should not be forced to go along with it. They say Christians “force their beliefs down everybody’s throats,” well, what is this?
“Since the Giants are about making every “community” feel welcome and respected at Giants games, ask them if we will soon see Drunk Drivers Pride nights or Pedophilia Pride nights or Satanism Pride nights?”
Drunk Drivers Pride nights = illegal immigrant night. Especially from south of the border. Los Borrachos.
Freedom of what? 😂 in sports? Cmon man.
Colorful flags representing a peepee in the butthole good….
Bible verses on hat not good….
