The article cites PUBLIC instances when previous Iranian leaders boasted about cheating on nuclear deals.
Why are we trusting them? Because they promised they won't pursue nuclear weapons?
Iran signed the NPT in 1968. So they already "promised" this before.
In return for giving them billions of dollars in sanctions relief and opening up the Strait of Hormuz to their oil tankers, what, exactly, are they giving up?

Sorry, here is a link to the article:

RINO Review doing what it does best- shive conservatives and the America First Movement in the back
Even if it’s the truth we don’t need to hear it from National Review.
I hate to say wishing thinking, but that’s what it is.
Total of Iranian regime is the minimum to bring peace, and that may not be enough.
The article cites specific, PUBLIC, instances of where rulers of Iran BOASTED about cheating on prior nuclear deals.
So ... why trust them now?
Also, the US is 25% of global GDP. Disruption of global economy, paying extortion to rulers of Iran, or allowing Iran to become the superpower of middle east, or allowing Iran’s long-term goal of forming a BRICS consortium to trade oil in Yuan - all of these will affect global economy, and therefore, the US middle class.
Any deal that allows IRGC to remain in power is a victory for IRGC, and therefore, a defeat for human civilization.
This is not about Israel, or even about Persian Gulf oil flowing through the Strait of Hormuz. It is about how the arc of history will be affected by allowing IRGC to remain in power and pursue its vision.
Read my profile about information you won’t get from MSM about the rulers of Iran.
Iran will sign on to Trump’s peace deal right after Putin signs Trump’s peace deal for Russia and Ukraine.
So, the *Shah* signed the NPT in 1968?
Shut up. Of course they will cheat. But we’ll watch. So what. Since we’re not ready to put boots on the ground, this is a necessary step.
Sorry, can’t remember - did I tell the National Review to shut up?
I think we learned that the biggest weapon Iran has now going forward is to close Hormuz when they start reneging on the no nuke deal. The Gulf States do have a pipeline direct to the Red Sea to avoid Hormuz and they started to build a second one they expect to finish in 2027. Probably will need a third one to get all their oil product out thru the pipeline complex. Finishing the pipelines would greatly reduce the closing Hormuz threat if we start bombing again. The importance of the rest of the products to the global economy shipped thru Hormuz pales compared to oil.It will still leave open the threat of Iran aiming missiles at their oil production facilities. By that time the US might have developed a more effective system to take the missiles out and drones before they reach their target.
Iran's military backed Islamic theocracy is evil. A threat to Israel. A threat to world peace as proxy to China and Russia.A threat to stability of the world's oil based economy through their ability to close the Straits. Reasons enough to go to war with Iran if the goal is to eliminate that threat. If the war results in the status quo of February 27th, it will not be defeat for the US but opportunity lost to effect positive change for the world.
In my opinion the opportunity was lost very early on when it became evident the US either had no plans or willingness to seize the Straits of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. Leaving the weapon of economic blackmail available to the Regime. End result stalemate.
I do pray any deal that Trump reaches is effective and results in peace on our terms in the Mid East. Yet given Iran's prewar behavior, I will not wager on a deal lasting.
Yes, the Shah signed the NPT. But the IRGC has always stated that it will honor the NPT.
The “we will watch” is nothing more than wishful thinking. Keeping watch on a nation 3x the land mass of Iraq is a tall order for any President ... and just wait until a RINO or a Dem goes into office.
And this “peace deal” does not address IRGC’s missile capability or its proxy forces who are sprinkled throughout the middle east and are nuisance to all our allies and civilized nations there.
This is not about boots on the ground. This is about accepting the short term pain of higher oil prices, cutting of IRGC’s oil exports, and committing to overthrow of IRGC through targeted attacks and arming the opposition.
I am of the mind that war should be rare,
Ever read a history Book?
Well if war is waged successfully, it will be rare.
No agreement with Islam will ever be honored by their side. Assuming we know where the nuclear “Dust” is stored, use a ground penetrating nuke to destroy the site. Give a few hours warning to minimize unnecessary deaths. If they rush civilians into the area as human shields, that’s on them.
