Yes, the Shah signed the NPT. But the IRGC has always stated that it will honor the NPT.
The “we will watch” is nothing more than wishful thinking. Keeping watch on a nation 3x the land mass of Iraq is a tall order for any President ... and just wait until a RINO or a Dem goes into office.
And this “peace deal” does not address IRGC’s missile capability or its proxy forces who are sprinkled throughout the middle east and are nuisance to all our allies and civilized nations there.
This is not about boots on the ground. This is about accepting the short term pain of higher oil prices, cutting of IRGC’s oil exports, and committing to overthrow of IRGC through targeted attacks and arming the opposition.
