Everything is working against him.
For the next 35 years, Karmelo Anthony has to get used to his new life in a cell.
The 19-year-old was sentenced to 35 years in prison on Tuesday after being convicted of murdering Austin Metcalf. Anthony was held at the Collin County Detention Facility in Texas following his conviction for the April 2025 fatal stabbing.
During his time at the Collin County Detention Facility post-conviction, authorities placed Anthony in isolation. This was to ensure facility safety and security. However, social media thinks something else is going on.
On X, a post about Karmelo Anthony’s transfer from county jail to TDCJ went viral. It showed images of Anthony and Senior Warden Tallan Metcalf of the Byrd Unit to imply suspicious leadership ties via shared surname. Online speculation claims nepotism due to the warden’s last name.
“Karmelo Anthony was transferred from the Collin County Detention Facility to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice this morning. Guess who runs TDCJ???” the post read.

Anthony doesn’t look like he’s a big guy, but he does think he’s a tough guy. That’s a bad combination to bring into a maximum security prison. Especially if the prisoners think he has a lot of money from his GoFundMe donations.
There’s likely no relation at all.
Sometimes a coincidence is just that. To make something out of this, there would need to be proof.
If anything, if a relationship did exist, Anthony wouldn’t have been taken there.

If I were the warden and had any relationship with the victim, I would want him out of my unit ASAP.
They will of course use this connection, if true, as way to show Anthony is being mistreated, bla bla bla.
This can’t go well for the warden.

The stabbing occurred at a high school track meet. “Total Pro” is probably more of a boast of their prowess rather than a limitation of their coverage.
I hope someone makes Karmelo their girlfriend, because that is the closest thing to real justice he will ever get since he should already be swinging from a rope.

I personally know noting of this site. I heard of this story on a youtube channel and googled it to see if it was true.
It is. I found this site first and posted it not knowing any thing about them. I could have posted the X site but I find them difficult, plus you all hate youtube videos.
