Four violent D.C.-area youths had the tables turned on them after trying to rob a Marine veteran of his vehicle.
As FOX 5 DC reported, an Oxen Hill, Maryland man named Jheyco Borda was operating on his vehicle near Oxon Hill High School around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday when four teenagers sauntered up to him on the sidewalk.
Oxon Hill is a suburb in Maryland located just southeast of D.C.
Video shared by FOX 5 DC next shows the youths cornering Borda at the bed of his truck. One youth wearing a red, white, and blue sweatshirt then pulls out a pistol and points it at the veteran's head, demanding his car keys and phone.
But Borda remembers his Marine training. He flips the tables on the armed thug and takes advantage of a momentary lapse from his tormentor.
He bravely grabs the suspect holding the gun and wrestles him for the weapon.
Fearing for their own safety and freedom, two of the other youths dash down the residential street, while another nervously walks aimlessly around the vehicle.
Borda's brother later runs out of the house to help his sibling with the first youth. While a gunshot rang out, nobody was struck.
Borda's brother then targets the second remaining thung. Both brothers soon successfully subdued them until Prince George's County police arrived.

All four suspects were then taken into custody and remain in jail.
Borda spoke with FOX 5 DC following the incident and credited his Marine Corps hand-to-hand combat training for allowing him to escape danger.
“Once a Marine, always a Marine,” Borda said. “It took me just one split second. We went to training for the Marines, and that came out right at the moment.”
FOX 5 DC reports that Prince George’s County Police are seeking anyone with additional information about the incident to contact them immediately.

If you use BRAVE as your browser, you don’t get any ads..................
wow. quick thinking and quick move! thank God they’re ok. a lot more bad things could have happened there—even the truck blowing up.
I’m using Brave on Linux as my primary browser setup.
This vid played just fine, but I don’t get 100% perfection...
YMMV
IT doesn't sound like he was maintaining good sterile technique during the surgery. And a poorly written story. Was he using the hood or the trunk as an operating table?
“...when four teenagers sauntered up to him on the sidewalk..!”
Four whats??
Saw the video.
That Marine should have killed the little YN bastard.
Looked like he was using the side of the bed for the operation.
The notso “patient” seems to have somehow survived the operation.
He should have at least broke a few ribs. That is painful every time you breathe and lasts a good while...............
I’m so tired of this “youths” BS! They’re black thugs 95% of the time
I’ve been using the Opera browser for over two decades, no such thing as an ad.
The juvenile offenders have no respect for the life of the victim.
We are supposed to have respect for theirs, though. And careful, complete protection of their legal rights.
Next victim might be a trembling older lady. Or an innocent young woman. Or any of us here.
Although I don’t trust the figures, allegedly 28% of carjackings in the US result in physical injury to the driver and the death figure for last year was 27 deaths.
Yeah. Fighting back was brave but also risky.
(4 youths)
Do I need to look?
Well acquainted with that injury. You are indeed correct.
