The Catholic archbishop of Washington, D.C., Cardinal Robert McElroy, on Wednesday removed a well-known priest as an exorcist of the archdiocese after he made public comments suggesting that UFO sightings were the work of demons.
McElroy said the archdiocese also was cutting ties with the St. Michael Center for Spiritual Renewal, a Washington-based nonprofit headed by the priest, Monsignor Stephen Rossetti.
The archbishop said Rossetti’s statements “linking UFOs to demonic presence and the Center’s recent use of social media gravely undermine the Church’s very precise teaching on the devil, demons and exorcism.”
“There’s a danger here,” Rossetti said Friday in a video on his Facebook page addressing UFO sightings and the existence of aliens. “As an exorcist I wanted to raise that danger. And that is that demons like to hide. ... They don’t want us to know what they’re doing because they’re more effective when we don’t realize it.”

Sounds like this priest was listening to Tucker who said the same thing.
Then it’s a good thing Vice President Vance didn’t go into the priesthood, as he shares the same opinion.
What is the proof they are NOT the work of demons? This is a strange stance for a church to take.
He is correct. They are not interstellar aliens, they are interdimensional demonic beings.
Yep.
Yup.
“Sounds like this priest was listening to Tucker who said the same thing.”
Demons don’t have physical bodies. That is why they seek to possess. If there are really alien bodies being preserved, it is impossible for them to be demons.
He was exorcised from being an exorcist.
First of all, there is no real proof that UFOs even exist. That’s WHY they are called UNIDENTIFIED.
So, what’s wrong with having a theory that might explain the phenomena that people are reporting?
Does the Vatican think that extraterrestrials from other planets are the only explanation? Or that they don’t exist at all and people are lying or mistaken?
Does the Vatican now believe the same of demons, that they aren’t real?
Seriously, it’s just a stupid thing to fire this guy. All he did was use CHRISTIAN belief to tie into what people may be experiencing!
“...And that is that demons like to hide. ... They don’t want us to know what they’re doing because they’re more effective when we don’t realize it.”

Sounds a lot like the M.O. of some of the more nefarious and clandestine human organizations. The more you are unaware of them, the more effectively they can operate.
Perhaps there is some intersection here between them, but I believe human beings are capable of being quite evil without having to blame UFOs or demons
Cardinal Robert McElroy seems a bit demonic himself. He is Left of Lenin for sure.
Once you realize the RCC management is pretending to worship God, things start making sense.
Without God, There is no bottom for the wickedness of Man.
This has been proven time and time again in history.
I don’t think what the Church did here is that controversial. If the Church has an official position on what UFOs are, then priests need to follow that position. Not insert their own opinions into the public dialog.
Looks like the censoring of Christians over the UFO issue has arrived even before the aliens have arrived
This should be interesting
Next thing you know, they will be telling us that the Bible was written to prepare man
Well, again, the Catholic clergyman who is right about something turns out to be the exception...
“What is the proof they are NOT the work of demons? This is a strange stance for a church to take.”

Exactly!
I’m here to say MANY of the laity in the Church believe the same!
Should they ALL be excommunicated?
Maybe the Church should have acted as quickly, and definitively when the child abuse scandal was known!
How true.
I wonder if he could go freelance. Can you only be an exorcist as a RC priest or are there other versions?
