All things considered - the terrible fiscal mess we’re in and the disruption to the world’s supply of energy - we’re doing o.k. Trump is dealing with some geopolitical challenges and it’s not like anybody else has an easy solution. His snatch and grab worked wonderfully in Venezuela. His efforts so far haven’t worked in Iran (or, for that matter, in Ukraine). Wishing these challenges would just go away isn’t serious policy.

Most of those foreign investments were non-binding and are still just "promises", likely to go unfulfilled. Many of those promises were made under pressure of tariffs and threats of more tariffs, a threat that has since been severely limited by SCOTUS.

Until this stall with Iran, I would have given an A+. Things were in place for greatness. We hadn’t had a better President in our lifetime.
The last months since the SC took away the tariff negotiating, along with the current consequences of Epic Fury have made a major negative impact on all of that. Gas prices. Inflation returning. Interest rates stagnating. The growth economy stalling.
It’s taking a toll on all the great things that were happening. If he doesn’t make correct moves and we are diverted, that report card will go way down. I hope he figures out how to right the ship, and soon.
If not, we will be in big trouble.
