GLASGOW, Ky. (TNND) — A Kentucky man was charged with attempted fetal homicide after investigators said he allegedly replaced his pregnant girlfriend’s prescription medication with an unknown substance, according to authorities.
Kentucky State Police identified the suspect as 26-year-old Abdulah Mohmand, of Bowling Green.
State police said troopers were contacted on Monday around 7:30 a.m. by a woman from Glasgow who reported concerns about the safety of her unborn child after learning her prescription medication had allegedly been switched.
The woman told investigators she believed her boyfriend, Mohmand, replaced the medication with another drug.
Following an investigation, state police said detectives obtained a search warrant for Mohmand's house. During the search, investigators found medication matching the pills discovered at the woman's home.
While state police did not release details about the type of medication involved or whether the woman or unborn child suffered any medical complications, FOX 56 reported that police recovered misoprostol, which is a medication commonly used for medical abortions and labor induction.
Citing court documents, FOX 56 reported that Mohmad was the father of his expecting girlfriend's child.

"If a woman makes a unilateral decision to bring a pregnancy to term, and the biological father does not, and cannot, share in this decision, he should not be liable for 21 years of support... autonomous women making independent decisions about their lives should not expect men to finance their choice." - Karen DeCrow, former President of the National Organization for Women (NOW), telling the court in 1981 that her client should not be held to a child support order on the grounds that the mother had deceived him into the pregnancy by lying about taking the contraceptive pill.
The mother can't even argue he was practicing medicine without a license because he has the same argument she has when she claims "my body, my right" despite it being the child's body. "I didn't give the drug to her; I gave it to my child."
Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal" was written in 1729.
Just one of your Kane Tuck good ole boys.
He was asserting his lawful rights to an abortion.
Link doesn’t work.
But either way, I thought the left said it was just a clump of cells. How can you be charged with homicide for a clump of cells? /sarcasm.
“Jonathan Swift’s “A Modest Proposal” was written in 1729.”
A fabulous piece of satire. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to appreciate unless you get a well-annotated version. The sheer density of the work is amazing and I’m not certain that anything like it has ever been achieved since.
The last sentence of the work is the equivalent of the modern “mic drop” IMO.
It’s not sarcasm. The courts have ruled many times, only the woman has control of her body. Men have no say. They only can participate in the initial activity known as the horizontal momba.
Gov. Beshear would probably agree.
I know the courts are a joke.
I was thinking the same...
