No way. Commies love their “community gardens”. It’s the only source of state-grown food that will be left.

Portland can GF itself.

Why do they get to control the state?

If someone told me PETA and the Vegan extremists wanted to outlaw hunting/fishing with the ultimate plan to outlaw farming and raising of animals for slaughter in a state, Oregon would be the state I’d pick as crazy enough to even contemplate it.

I might have gone with Vermont first but Oregon would definitely be up there.

Oregon makes BIG money from hunting.
Hotels and restaurants will be greatly affected.

No more hunting & fishing fees to fund Oregon Dept. of Fish & Game enforcement..

No more size or bag limits without the nuclear bombs.

Also all animals raised for meat will have to be shipped out of state for slaughter.

The pinnacle of democrat tyranny

If this somehow passes, there will be so many lawsuits by the Indian tribes...

I am certain that Indian tribes will be exempt and in fact benefit from lack of fishing competition. They get their fishing rights via treaties which are the ‘supreme law of the land’, short of the Constitution itself.

Which is why it is the Senate approves treaties. Before the 17th Amendment the Senate represented the state governments, so the states actually had an indirect input on what the treaties bound them to.

According to this website, they are not.

"Oregon Tribes are not exempted — treaty-protected hunting and fishing rights would be jeopardized."

I could well be wrong, but anything ‘treaty protected’ is beyond the reach of state laws.

This is what the Constitution says about the matter.

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

I’m sure you’re right. The idiots who wrote this initiative probably don’t care about that or violating the Commerce Clause, which it surely would by banning commercial fisheries.

IIRC—_THIS IS NOT JUST A “HUNTING & FISHING” IDEA.
THEY WANT TO BAN ALL RAISING OF ANIMALS-—CATTLE—HORSES/SHEEP/CHICKENS.

PROBABLE 80% OF THE LAND EAST OF THE CASCADES IS CATTLE RANCHES.

ALSO BANS ALL COMMERCIAL FISHING ALONG THE PACIFIC COAST-—A REALLY BIG BUSINESS.

Hunting and fishing is a primordial human right.

Not protected by the Constitution.

Well, I see one positive in that it might motivate conservative and independent voters to vote Tina Kotex out of office. This might be a great self-own for the libtards.
