The remains of 44 people, many of them believed to be male teenagers of the Continental Army, unearthed during a construction dig in 2019, will soon be laid to rest on the shores of Lake George.
On Wednesday, May 20, the remains will be escorted via motorcade from the New York State Museum in Albany up state Route 9 to the Lake George Battlefield Park. The majority of the remains will be interred at a new memorial on the east side of Fort George Road called “Repose of the Fallen” that day.

Thank you very much and God bless you,

My cousin took her grandson to see the procession as it left the Albany area this morning.
There’s a nice Revolutionary War cemetery in Sag Harbor, LI, NY.
That’s wonderful. We owe the Revolutionary War veterans everything. Their courage in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds is awe inspiring and God directed. To think that we will actually get to meet such as these in Heaven is humbling.
It’s sad because the bones aren’t in a good enough condition to be identified.
Also, they supposedly were involved in an invasion of Canada. I wasn’t aware that that was going on.
I haven’t found one single article that gives all the details, but read a few to get a better overall picture of the situation.
Very nice.
God bless these young Continental Army soldiers.
Wish the state and the country would be taught about their sacrifices and offer them, all, the honor and respect they deserve, day to day.
Indeed.
And, agree…definitely God directed.
May He forever rest their souls.
PING!!
Thanks for posting this.
Well, at least they’re being honored.
When it comes to soldiers, I always remember what Jesus said -—”No greater love hath any man, than that he lay down his life for another “, and, “ love covers a multitude of sins”. It is my hope that before they step into eternity, the LORD gives soldiers one last chance to accept Him, if they have not done so, already.
not related ot these fellas, but here is a bit about roger’s rangers who operated out of lake george, ticondaroga n i beleive- back during french indian wars. There;s a ton of stuff that metal detectors find there- some really interesting info

Cool. Thanks.
That is a good thing to hope and pray for.
Derrick Hollenbeck my 8th great grandfather served in the 8th Albany Militia which guarded Washington when he visited West Point and discovered Benedict Arnold’s treason. They were there when John Andre was executed.
I love that history in NYS. I grew up near Buffalo, and we visited Old Fort Niagara often. When we vacationed in the Adirondacks it was Fort Ticonderoga, Lake George, Lake Champlain, etc.
I’ll check out your link after coffee. ☕
That’s way cool!!
They were quite a group of soldiers- did z lot of raiding all a4ound and up int9 canada too, and were instrumental in the war. I know the areas well. Did loads of hiking, fishing, hunting, trapping etc in the area, so it made the account closer to home for me. Fort ticondaroga has some great history too.
“Fort ticondaroga has some great history too.”
Yes. We used to visit there when vacationing in the area.
Well done All.
First positive news out of New York in forever.
