A conservative vlogger claims Panda Express employees called the police on him after he wore a MAGA hat and gave a “thumbs up” gesture to a cook inside a Washington state restaurant.
“Panda Express kicked out @DannyRebel333 and Myself out for Simply for wearing a MAGA hat, and giving a thumbs up to a cook that just stood and Stared at me the whole time because of my Hat,” vlogger Chris Sims said in a May 11 post on X.
“I asked if there was an issue and the cook said ‘Your Hat’ so I asked if he supported it,” Sims wrote.
“They proceeded to call the police, and falsely say we were refusing to leave,” he added. […]
In a statement to Fox News Digital, a Panda Restaurant Group spokesperson acknowledged the incident and said, “We want everyone who walks into Panda Express to feel welcome and treated with respect.” …

Some of the people? Replace “some” with “most”, and you would be closer to accurate. And that’s just the people in the US. “Most” becomes “VAST majority” once you include the entire planet.

I got very ill after eating there a few years ago. Haven’t been back since. It was during Covid so that could’ve been a factor. But I’m not taking any chances.
I like wearing my “Glock Shooting Sports” cap when going out to a place sure to have tourists.
I don’t believe that ‘most’ of the people are like these Panda employees. The decent people just aren’t noisy.
People who feel that they have no mission and no purpose in life tend to create a mission, which they need to convince themselves is real and consequential. They compensate for their lack of purpose by advertising their synthetic mission to all and sundry; anyone who resists or even fails to take them seriously is subject to all kinds of harassment, including (in some cases) violence. I think this is sometimes called "narcissistic rage."
Yes; they have empty inner lives and have to come up with something to give them a feeling of self worth.

I don’t think that’s true of all people who hold what we have historically called ‘Liberal’ views. It means different things to different people and has over generations at this point.
But it might certainly be true of ‘Leftists’.

A valid distinction. But I think that what used to be called “liberalism” is not what is the current meaning of the word, and doesn’t represent the views of most people who think of themselves as “liberals” today.
The concept of “liberalism” has slowly morphed into something that’s more like a form of psychological self-medication than it is a coherent political philosophy.
It’s bad Chinese anyway. Everything is too sweet, and they don’t actually serve Panda.
I’m old, and so are many of my Liberal friends. They don’t hate anyone, don’t want to harm anyone for their political beliefs, they don’t go out and protest-rage, they think maiming children in the name of ‘health care’ is insanity, &c, &c.
But they call themselves ‘Liberals’ because they’ve always done - often because their fathers and grandfathers before them did. Mainly, they just consider themselves Democrats.
You can call it ‘self-medication’ if you like; but they DO view it as a political ideology, and it still guides how they vote, despite how far many Democrat politicians have moved from what my friends have always understood as their party.
Many years ago an abandoned restaurant building was acquired and converted into a "Roberto's" mexican restaurant. The menu looked nearly identical to what was offered in San Diego before I moved to Pocatello. The food was decent. Some of the officers and detectives that worked with my wife visited for lunch. One of the employees thought it would be "cute" to fill a burrito with fresh urine for one of the officers. Fortunately, the officer cut it with a fork and saw the pissy contents before consuming it. A big laugh emanated from the kitchen as he cut it. The food was discarded and the mistreatment was shared with a widely supported live afternoon radio show. Nobody came to eat ever again. It closed. The building was demolished. A new Panda Express was built on the old site. Bad news travels quickly in a small community.
