A Man Of Memes @RickyDoggin Flashback: 911 operator hung up on a mother who called three times because her child wasn’t breathing. Later, police walked up to the console and arrested the operator. “Ma’am, step away from the console.” “Excuse me, I’m working.” “We need you to come with us.” “What is this about?” “You’re being arrested for hanging up on emergency callers.” “For what? I didn’t do anything.” “A mother called 911 three times because her child stopped breathing. You hung up on her three times.” “I just didn’t feel like working.” “You disconnected multiple emergency calls instead of sending help.” “You’re arresting me for that?” “Yes ma’am. Turn around and place your hands behind your back.” Investigators say the operator intentionally disconnected hundreds of emergency calls, including reports of robberies, assaults, and medical emergencies. In one case, a mother reportedly called three times about her child not breathing, but the calls were disconnected before help could be dispatched. The child later died. People dial 911 expecting life-saving help. Instead, some callers were allegedly hung up on. Image

Public Enemy was right!
9-1-1 Is A Joke!
I am disgusted but not surprised. Hire people to fill a quota and this is what happens.
911. Whatchoo want?
Is it them yogi... Its always them boo boo..
True story:
Many years ago I was crushed by a giant falling tree.
A neighbor who saw the whole thing and saw me unconscious and bleeding and all tied up in the tree mess called 911.
She explained to the 911 operator that a man was injured by and hung up in the debris of a fallen tree in front of her house and they needed to send the EMT crew.
The operator asked “how old is he”???
My neighbor is a woman prone against anger and she told me (days later) she had never in her life before wanted to scream at someone as much as she did that 911 operator.
She did manage to answer: What does it matter, just send the emergency squad.
Wow! This is a gold plated EXAMPLE of DEI in action!
For anyone that isn’t sure what an “NWA” is.....that picture is it.
Whoever hired her and kept her on is at fault. She has zero moral eptitude The cops were aware of her and had to catch her in the act of negligence, one imagines
“ She did manage to answer: What does it matter, just send the emergency squad.
Say mid 40’s Whatever. They need to know.
“Say mid 40’s Whatever. They need to know.”
Because???
Notice that the post mentions neither the name of the operator nor the city where she worked.
Conclusion: There is a very high chance that the post fake.
Such posts pollute X and Facebook.
It’s not all of them, but it’s nearly always them...
Whether to send an ice cream truck, taco truck or an EMT truck.
Not laughing.
True.
abc13.com
This refers to a real 2016 case involving Crenshanda (or Crenshanda/Kshandanda) Williams, a 911 dispatcher at the Houston Emergency Center (Harris County, Texas). Key facts:Investigators found she was responsible for thousands of very short/abandoned 911 calls (often under 5–20 seconds) over about 10–18 months. Many were legitimate emergencies, including medical issues, robberies, assaults, and reckless drivers.
npr.org
In one documented incident, she reportedly hung up on a caller multiple times (including a mother whose child wasn't breathing, per viral retellings). Another involved hanging up on a security guard reporting a reckless driver, saying something like “Ain't nobody got time for this. For real.”
defendernetwork.com
When confronted, she admitted variations of “I just didn't feel like working” or not wanting to deal with callers.
abc13.com
She was fired in 2016, charged with interfering with emergency calls (a misdemeanor), found guilty in 2018, and sentenced to 10 days in jail + 18 months probation (plus community service in some reports).

The viral image/meme (shared by accounts like Terrence K. Williams) dramatizes the story with the exact quote and photo, but the core events are factual based on court records and news reports from ABC13 Houston, CBS, NPR, etc. Some details (e.g., exact number of calls or specific tragic outcomes) vary slightly in retellings, but the incident itself is confirmed.
Because it saves time when they arrive on scene to know what type of apparatus they’ll need. They don’t have to get to the patient to assess and then get back to the truck to dig it out.
