Are people really paying these prices? Sell 'em. Sell 'em hard and sell 'em long. They can afford it. Good for them. We'll probably need those rich folks in the future.
Saw a Taylor Swift ticket on Vivid for the NOLA show. Mezzanine level, last one of four. $78,000. May have included parking. I'm pretty sure it sold. If ya got it, do it. Big event, big prices.

I might go to a World Cup game for $15,000 but you’d have to pay me a lot more than the $400 face value to put me through that nonsense. :-P

Not too far off from going to a concert or NFL game. Rush is playing four concerts in Fort Worth next month, nosebleed seats are around $350 before fees. Eagles play in Arlington next week, tickets are a bit lower, but again, we’re talking extreme nosebleed seats.
I was tempted, considering their opening act was the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Fortunately, my brain kicked into gear.

Ah the passing parade. I used to go to many a sports and entertainment show but it’s down to a trickle at best now. Took my sister to a musical for her birthday recently. I still find it weird tickets are now all on your phone these days. It’s hard to put that in an album for memories.

Welcome to why FIFA wants to be bigger in America. It’s nice having the most popular sport in the world, but Americans spend $$$ on sports. 1 of us is better for the bottom line than 100 South Americans.

It’s soccer, can’t they just wait until some lefty sports reporter reports the score when it’s over?

I just can’t catch a break. Earlier this year I budgeted $32,900 for a premium seat. I really thought that would be more than enough. But it wasn’t.
So once again I won’t be going to the finals.
🙁

There are Americans willing to pay this much to see soccer? Incredible.
To: Libloather
If I had a disposable income of a few billion dollars, I might would pay that much for some sporting event, but it hasn’t been created yet.
But people attend that for a “happening.” To see and be seen.

Last I checked, attending a soccer match is a luxury, not a necessity. In global terms, this is the biggest, most lucrative and most watched sporting event, even bigger than our Supee Bowl. It stands to reason that there would be a high demand for tickets. Obviously there will be a supply limited by the size of the stadium. High demand, limited supply, what the heck would you expect to happen to the price of the tickets?

$33K to watch a bunch of socialists run around on a field and pretend to be severely injured whenever an opponent passes within 4'?
