Judge Tony Graf on Friday rejected a request from Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin to ban cameras in the courtroom during the duration of the trial.

However, the court found that argument insufficient to justify a categorical ban, noting that only about 25% of the public had watched live court proceedings, with most exposure coming from secondary commentary rather than raw courtroom footage.
Former assistant U.S. attorney and criminal defense attorney Neama Rahmani told Fox News Digital he thinks these motions are part of the defense team’s long game, aimed at creating issues that could be raised during appeal.
Robinson fatally shot TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025 during an event at Utah Valley University.
Tyler Robinson allegedly used a Mauser 98 .30-06 rifle to kill Charlie Kirk.

FYI, I’m pretty sure Court TV will carry the trial in it’s entirety.
Compare that to the case in Frisco (black on white alleged stabbing) where the judge excluded cameras and audio recordings, limited entry to 9 journalists, some family members, and a few members of the public; no public release of trial exhibits until after the trial concludes.

I’m on the fence about high profile cases like this one. On the one hand I want to keep up with what is going on during the trial, on the other I’m positive that the democrats and the rest of the purple haired, they/them, alphabet people will be fawning over him constantly. The democrat party will be giddy with idol worship during the whole trial and it will be wall to wall coverage that he is a hero to the democrat party, and that will encourage others to ramp up the violence that democrats encourage everyday. FU democrats. Every one of them. FU. Spit.

Well, it ain’t working.
From what I can gather this is a slam dunk conviction.
He admitted he did it in text form.....AND I hear his DNA is on the trigger of the rifle.
Personally speaking, with that kind of evidence, if I was on the jury it would take me about 10 minutes to convict.
The country ain’t the same either.
Cameras should not ever be allowed into a trial except for video evidence of judicial, prosecutorial, or defense counsel mis-conduct.
Cut the trivial shit..the system is a farce. This guy should have been tried, convicted and executed two days after the crime.

Let the public see how the judicial system works and what kind of judge is presiding.
We got out eyes opened up during the corrupt OJ Simpson trial, seeing what an idiot judge Ito turned out to be - all caught on camera and broadcast to the public, the very things the media won’t report.
A law professor on my local radio show said Judge Ito is used as a prime example of a biased, corrupt judge.
The killer is vain, this publicity will satisfy him, prolong the trial until it is OJ-length, and will encourage others to do the same thing against people on our side.
Also this judge is a real problem: Zero judgment, fawning and mincing, posing for his liberal audience, trying to kiss this horrible murderer's ass.
Yes he deserves a trial, yes a fair one, but not a year-long spectacle like OJ got.
The consequences of OJ were that POC were no longer punished for their crimes. It has been a total disaster: Look at Chicago, look at Charlotte, look at NY, look around your own neighborhood. A complete disaster.
It starts with the silly idea that the murderer deserves to be worshipped as a celebrity and every hardship in his life must be assuaged and remedied.
Leaving NO room for punishing him.
Remember OJ and watch it happen again.
Sorry Ms. Kirk, I feel sorry for you, but you are wrong. This should be quick, behind closed doors, and followed by quick appeal and death sentence. Will NEVER happen if publicised.
At the end they will probably forgive the guy and give him his own reality show.
PS my gaydar is pegged with that judge. His frontal lobe is deficient, for sure. Thing is, the gays I know are way more masculine than that judge is. Sheeesh !
