Hard to do when the existing IRGC/Mullah govt killed thousands of protestors.
Much of the rest of what you posted, Trump is doing. An article at American Thinker pointed out that Trump's actions are hitting a new railroad pretty hard. This is a railroad for China's New Silk Road project to use Iran to connect China to Europe.
I am not sure if it’s a good or bad thing, but the US has no will to truly annihilate another country. When dealing with entities (IRGC) who will choose death over surrender, the game plan needs to be rock solid.
How long would it take the US military to conquer and put in the new leadership against Texas? Now move Texas across the world and have Texas resupplied by adjacent countries and allies.
Trump needs Congressional agreement to extend military engagement with Iran after 60 and 90 days.
The Democrats - and a couple of RINOs - will never give Trump that authority.
It’s all 4-D chess, man.
Art of the Deal, ya know?
Trump completely contradicts himself daily for a reason. It’s to confuse the enemy.
STFU you stupid TDS ass clowns.

All Die Hard Trumpers Everywhere.
Right.
There are a lot of traps here.
First off, CatOwner is right. You can’t just anihilate a whole country. The world is whining and bristling already, but it’s mostly just a geopolitical show. Using words like “war crimes” is a part of the act. But it likely wouldn’t be if you just go full scorched earth.
Secondly, the Iranian people don’t deserve it. It not their fault they are under the thumb of an oppressive system. It’s a lot more likely that they could have prevented it over 50 years ago than they could get themselves out from under it now, but as they say, hindsight is 20/20.
The IRGC is the real problem, but they embedded, hiding, and possibly somewhat splintered. You cannot negotiate with them because (1) they don’t want to negotiate, (2) they can’t be trusted, and (3) they just want to ride this out until they can exert full control again. What they would really like is for us to invade, so they can open up the asymmetric warfare play-book and try to get us mired what would end up in either a “forever war” or a political black-eye retreat.
I personally don’t think Trump cares about negotiating either.
Who is he even going to get a garauntee from who has the ability to keep it?
I believe the delay is about a strategic re-gathering. Increasing intelligence, increasing force capacity, and analyzing best possible outcome trees.
If I were in charge, I’d have lost my patience and dropped all their bridges and blown all their electric turbines.
Give ‘em the Stone Age for the next 40 years.
WHO? Who are you going to deliver that demand to?
Why demand a new government, when there isn't even an old one?
People assume Trump is doing this on behalf of Israel.
I think he’s doing it more on behalf of the UAE, he sees them as the future big player in the region.
Tehran has 8.6 million residents. Do you really think you can just cut off that many people and still have any standing in the world?
I am not sure what the problem is with squeezing them over time. People are not starving (physically.). But the government is starving financially.
If we start taking out bridges, it will be the routes they use to bring in supplies from the outside. Obviously this cuts off exports as well.
There is no practical way to “shut down” a city of that size without significant consequences. This is not Tokyo in 1944–which would be a major war crime if we repeated it today.
I am not sure what the problem is with squeezing them over time. People are not starving (physically.).
Because in this country today, it’s “Instant Gratification Uber Alles!”
The Democrats - and a couple of RINOs - will never give Trump that authority.
Trump needs no such thing. Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama and Biden needed no Congressional agreement when they extended military engagements and neither does Trump.
The War Powers Act is and has been unenforceable.
My take is that any coherent analysis leads to the single outcome of extermination when it comes to the IRGC. But, we can’t use that word any more. The IRGC is a full-on mafia organization that has stripped Iran of every piece of its wealth, which is considerable. That the people of Iran have suffered greatly and surely will continue to is of sub-zero concern to them. They have the guns. Once oil re-flows, they have access to $450 MM a day in cashola. They are not going to go quietly, smoothly, or at all.
I mean, it’s a pat and simplistic explanation. But this is at root an apocalyptic cult of death that has suceeded in taking what has to be one of the world’s top 20 sources of cash money for 47 years. They are not going to give it up and they are not going to submit and they are not going to forfeit their “honor”. To them, we are pipsqueak cowards afraid to die who happen to have superior weapons and have dealt them a temporary setback. But they believe (rightly so) that even if the US is involved for a year, which we are nowhere near, they still have 46 years on us.
I don’t see any use for complexity above those specs.
It seems that the Saudis and the Gulf states are having second thoughts about fighting Iran. Would not ignore the cultural aspects of this conflict. The Muslim nations do not want other Muslims to criticize them that they cooperated and allied with Christians and Jews to destroy an Islamic regime however flawed and oppressive it may have been.
THIS! A monument to our victory and an ennervation of the Shiite muslim terroristic regime.
Then support Iranian partisans with weapons.
It’s actually very simple, yet most of the anti-American/anti-Trump posters along with the terminally clueless don’t seem to “get it”.
First off, in no way, shape or form is Iran “Winning”, no matter what any retard claims. Looking at the situation in this context is irrational and illogical and does not reflect reality outside of propaganda.
So, let’s look at reality.
What President Trump seems to be doing it attempting to reach his goals without bringing down the overall oil industry in Iran which will affect the rest of the world in one way or another.
Every one who wants to cripple Iran and put them back into the Stone Age ASAP needs to remember that the oil being produced from Iran will need to come from somewhere else for a very long time if we destroy their infrastructure. That will mean higher prices for oil and gas for the foreseeable future.
Avoiding that consequence is why Iran hasn’t been put down for good up to this point. It remains quite possible this will happen in the end anyways, but President Trump seems to be bending over backwards to avoid this result if possible.
It seems fairly simple and straightforward to me if you look at if from this angle, but perhaps someone else has a better explanation that makes more sense.
Yeah, and just because somebody’s confused doesn’t mean Trump considers them an enemy. It could be somebody’s mother or grandmother who just doesn’t get Trump.
Dittos.
The supposed MAGA yet butt-hurt wussies at FR are astounding.
PDJT objectives from day one:
1. Obliterate Iran’s missiles and production.
2. Annihilate its navy.
3. Sever its support for terrorist proxies.
4. Ensure it never acquires a nuclear weapon.
Forty-seven years.
Eight Presidents.
About time.
God bless President Trump!
Mullahs: “Death to America.” Since 1979.
Iran on the verge of nukes and have the means to deliver them.
It is wise to believe those who promise to kill you and have the means.
