You may be right. I’ve said here he should run Cuba once the Commies get thrown out on their ear. PERHAPS 1-3 YEARS. Fast track them into integration with the Americas. After 10-15 years he’d make a great POTUS.
Rubio is fine as Secretary of State, but I’ll be voting for Vance in the 2028 Republican Primary.
It’s an easy choice & vote, that’ll take about 2 minutes to fill out a vote by mail ballot.(Then I’ll do the same with my wife’s ballot.)

The ideal situation is 8 years of vance followed by 8 years of rubio.

If that’s the criteria, Rubio is worse..still taking orders from his mentor who is an Amnesty loving immigration lawyer.
It troubles me that neither the left or right will criticize Rubio to any degree they rip everyone else apart.
