President Trump has issued a statement on the passing of CNN founder Ted Turner, and it is quite different from other deaths of noted rich liberals.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Turner, the left-wing billionaire who founded CNN, died today at the age of 87.
In addition to founding CNN, Turner was a prominent philanthropist who once donated $1 billion to the United Nations. Turner also gave $1.3 million to Democrats and Democratic causes throughout his life.
No cause of death has been revealed yet, but Turner announced in 2018 that he had Lewy body dementia, a progressive brain disorder.
Turner was also hospitalized early last year with pneumonia before recovering at a rehabilitation facility.
Trump responded to Turner’s passing with grace, despite their political differences. He noted Turner’s mark on the media landscape while also stating the CNN founder had hated everything his “baby” had become.
Trump also called Turner a good friend who was always there when he needed him.
Ted Turner, one of the Greats of All Time, just died. He founded CNN, sold it, and was personally devastated by the Deal because the new ownership took CNN, his “baby,” and destroyed it.
It became woke, and everything that he is not all about.
Maybe the new buyers, wonderful people, will be able to bring it back to its former credibility and glory. Regardless, however, one of the Greats of Broadcast History, and a friend of mine.
Whenever I needed him, he was there, always willing to fight for a good cause! President DONALD J. TRUMP
Last December, Trump created a firestorm over his reaction to the grisly murder of leftist Hollywood Director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele.
For years, Reiner had attacked President Trump as “mentally unfit for office” and floated all of the lefty conspiracy theories about Russia collusion.
“A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind-crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS, Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Trump is anything but predictable when it comes to reacting to the deaths of those he disagrees with on political issues.
(shrug)
So, who gets Montana?
RIP, CNN was much better in the days of Lynne Russell and others back in the day.
Widow Jane Fonda will be in a quandary on how to respond to President Trump’s kind and respectful reaction to Ted Turner’s death. How can she twist and distort what Trump just said so that it sounds like an insult or another ugly smear? What’s a perpetual whiner to do?
Never fear, Jane will think of something.
She will instruct one of her next few interviewers to ask her certain questions, worded in specific ways to elicit another ‘pained and indignant’ response from her.
“Ask me this question first, but do it in a manner as though you were very, very reluctant to ask it. I’ll do the rest!”
If I didn’t know better I’d say GP posted this as an excuse to drag up what President Trump said about Rob Reiner......but that couldn’t be.....could it? 🤔
Anybody that thinks Reiner wouldn’t have said something nasty about DJT had HE died is crazy.

>[Turner] was personally devastated by the Deal because the new ownership took CNN, his “baby,” and destroyed it.
I met Lynn Russell, Headline News anchor in the glory days of the 1990s, who helped build CNN, at a Veteran’s Day event during Covid. I think 2020, but might have been 2021.
To say she was horrified at what CNN had become is putting it mildly.
See my post just above.
he had Lewy body dementia
I think robin williams had that too
Ted and Jane divorced long ago.
I will take it if I can get rid of the Dutton’s and their ranch!
Who knew his first name was Robert. Robert Edward Turner III
Hanoi Jane?
Uh, Montana is the 4th largest state in the USA.
My county is larger than RI, the same size as Delaware and about 1/2 the size of Connecticut.
From my home in the mountains overlooking the Gallatin Valley I can see the entrance to Ted’s Flying D Ranch (which is four ranches combined, the last one from the Von Trapp family of the Sound of Music fame) some 30 miles away.
Montana is BIG and all of Teds property is 1/1000th of our states acerage.
To answer your question who gets Montana?
The other 99.998% of us.

Well, now I am conflicted,

IMHO President Trump was somewhat kind in his comments about MEATHEAD, who was infinitely worse than the president's parting commentary.
MEATHEAD was afflicted with nuclear grade TDS on roughly the same level as James "Snakehead" Carville.
I’m with you on this one.
I first thought of Ted Turner’s quote from long ago when I saw that agent get out of the way to allow the armed would be assassin Cole Tomas Allen to rush past him on his mission.
“Lead. Follow. Or get out of the way.”
Note: I had just watched the 1939 movie The Tower of London. Boris Karloff as the henchman to the Basil Rathbone heir to the throne. Along torturing some people as part of his job he then watched as an enemy was held by officers down the hall, planning in advance to stop him if he somehow broke loose. He did break loose and as he ran down the hall Karloff put out his leg and tripped him. I thought that was what the agent should have done.
‘ Anybody that thinks Reiner wouldn’t have said something nasty about DJT had HE died is crazy’
Exactly, and there will obviously be sick deranged idiots celebrating when it does happen.
“So, who gets Montana?”
He also held nearly a half-million acres in Nebraska. While I’m sure he had a complete & air-tight estate plan on how this all is resolved, that probably won’t keep away all those who would challenge it in order to reap some benefits.
