Where the hell is Dukes
Interesting. Thanks. A couple days ago I bought some Walmart “Great Value” Greeek yogurt. It is half the price of the high-end “Fage” brand at Safeway! It’s slightly thinner than the Fage, but, other than that, I don’t notice any difference. Makes a great dessert with some Lakanto allulose/monk fruit sweetener and blueberries and raspberries.
I’ve bought Walmart branded milk, salmon, and beef with the same high quality and low price.
Sinko da MAYO?
har de har har
During the Second Punic War, Mago Barca (3rd Century BC) is said to have founded or taken shelter at a port on the island of Menorca (one of the Balearic Islands). This port was named Portus Magonis in his honor, which eventually evolved into the modern city of Mahón (or Maó in Catalan). The locals in Mahón had a traditional garlic-and-oil sauce. In 1756, the French Duke de Richelieu captured the city from the British. The Duke’s chef either discovered the local sauce or invented a version of it to celebrate the victory. It was originally called mahonnaise (meaning "in the style of Mahón"), which later morphed into the French word mayonnaise.

I like "the rest is history" podcast because it has my favorite historian Tom holland (not the spiderman actor!) in it
Used to chow on imbiss food while in Germany. Just found some Homann pommes sauce cremig in a squirt container. Oh, my.
“What are the top 5 mayonnaises in Mexico?”
Questions like that are why I lost on Jeopardy!
No love for Miracle Whip around here.
Up north, it’s Hellmann’s, or nothing. Duke’s is good, where available. Most others just disappoint.
Miracle Whip is only good for sealing the bead on tires when mounting.
That’s one thing it never occurred to me to wonder about.
Lime in mayo sounds right.
Members Mark is Sam’s Club, not Costco.
FINALLY! I've been losing sleep wondering that very thing!
