HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A man who pleaded guilty to murder allegedly punched his attorney in the face after receiving a 50-year sentence, court documents reveal.
Jaquarius Lewis, 27, is accused of causing bodily injury to an individual who is at least 65 years of age, according to records obtained by Eyewitness News. The alleged incident happened on Tuesday afternoon, the same day he was sentenced to confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice's Institutional Division.
The bail motion reads that Lewis punched his attorney, John Petruzzi, in the face after the sentence was read.
Records indicate Lewis waived a jury trial and pleaded guilty to the April 2024 murder of Quincy Jermaine Johnson. Lewis was accused of being one of two suspects who shot Johnson while he was standing on a balcony in northeast Houston.

Surprised that doesn’t happen more often.
I’m guessing his attorney convinced this teen to plead guilty.
I guess that black life didn’t matter to him.
The lawyer should have known it was coming. Uncuffed suspect.
Jaquarius
I’m guessing his attorney convinced this teen??? to plead guilty.
Jaquarius Lewis, 27
Offended by everything
Ashamed of nothing
Entitled to everything

My fatigue is high enough to be in agreement with Scott Adams. Then I watch a movie like Michael and realize there is still some good ones, at least that is what that movie showed
The young punk murdered an old man, he belongs in the ground. I’m pissed that Americans have to pay for this scum to live in a cage for 50 years.
“punched his attorney in the face after receiving a 50-year sentence”
Ten bucks says the attorney told him if he plead guilty he’d get a light sentence.....that would explain it.
Yup, looks like it...
Some of them never stop...
Here ya go 👇
Never in the history of our great country (and probably the history of the world) has such a small group done so little for so few for so long while declining so many opportunities then proceed to inflict such untold misery, cruelty, disrespect and degradation on so many all the while cloaked with the permeating stench of entitlement.
YES
Because it’s his attorney’s fault he got sentenced, not his fault for murdering someone. 🙄
Sentence fatigue
No need to ask.
50 years is a light sentence. He will live better in prison than most of humanity.
Jaquarius, an ancient Roman name of a noble patrician family?
No, Boo Boo.
