President Trump on Friday addressed seniors at The Villages in Florida and touted his second-term achievements that have made life more affordable for those in their golden years.
“I’m much, much younger than the people in this room, but I feel I can relate to you anyway,” the 79-year-old president joked at the world’s largest retirement community, before rattling off policy after policy his administration has pushed to benefit seniors.
Trump lauded the “largest tax refunds of all time” received by American seniors this year thanks to his One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

The president then tore into former President Joe Biden.
Under Biden, “American seniors were ravaged by the worst inflation in the history of our country,” Trump said, “devastating the budgets of senior citizens.”
“Under the Trump administration,” he declared, “we’re standing up for American seniors like no president has ever stood up before.”
The president touted his “war on fraud,” which he insisted is preventing Medicare and Medicaid from “being looted by criminals and thugs.”
Trump also boasted about his administration’s work at getting accelerated Medicare prior authorizations, calling it “a big deal.”
“What used to take days and weeks and months to get, now you’re getting it done in a matter of minutes,” he claimed.
“We also dramatically increased coverage for outpatient clinical care,” Trump continued, “stopping seniors from being ripped off by billions of dollars of outrageous fees that they charge.”

Did mom ever deliver that meatloaf you were screaming about?
I bought a pound of hamburger yesterday. It cost over $7.
Sure, but the meatloaf. Did mom bring it?
You didn’t answer the question. The meatloaf. Did mom deliver it or not?
Maybe goulash today.
Ah, The Villages...So many clubs, events and activities it’ll make your head spin!
“Another Trump rally.”
They still vote. So getting them to support the republican party is good.

Go Sabatini! We’re losing our awesome Daniel Webster. I live ten miles from the villages. Of course they are expanding everywhere so out my back door may be possible soon.
The Trump economy is is going straight to the crapper....
Trump has become a man out of touch with the middle class.
I hear there were people lining the street to give Trump the finger. Not bussed-in Rats, but locals.
There’s a risk that Trump is spinning a rosy picture that flies in the face of people whose real world experience is completely different. If it were occasional, people might shrug it off, but he’s almost at it 24/7. I’ve seen a clip just from the last day or two, where Trump’s stood in front of a crowd claiming in effect that they’ve never had it so good.
I also saw a video earlier today, a short online documentary in an American supermarket - where the price of imported produce and products that rely on imports to produce is compared before Trump imposed tariffs and since. The wholesale price of some goods has gone up over 50%. That’s even before the supermarket’s set the retail price.
A couple of customers said that affordability is their primary issue at the moment. They didn’t mention government, they didn’t mention the President, they didn’t mention Iran or Greenland or NATO. They didn’t mention the border. Or ICE.
On X, someone’s posted a link to President Trump dismissing the affordability discussion, painting the entire subject as a Democrat hoax, or a scam. The replies include observations about his campaign for the Presidency, where he pledged to bring the cost of living down.
It’s been pointed out that the Democrats have the cheapest election video in history. Put a selection of Trump’s own quotes before the election and since into that documentary.
When “You’ve never had it so good” butts heads with “It’s the economy, stupid”, the spin doesn’t beat the reality.
“I hear…”. ‘Nuff said.
Midterms will come and the blame will be put on voters, but it will not be the fault of the voters.
Trump was elected to make things better. That is what he campaigned on. The average person is still waiting but do not seem to be a priority in any way.
What is nauseating is that true villains and country wrecking perverts of the other party will benefit.
This is smart. Seniors have done well under Trump and they vote. In certain states, they may be the edge that keeps a Republican in office. But looking long-term, young people really are getting screwed for the benefit of seniors. And I say this as an older person.
He’s lost the plot completely or he’s been a dem operative all along running the greatest psyop ever
Ashamed to have voted for this asshole
Everything is up under Trump! Unemployment is up, Fuel is way up, Food is up, everything is up under Trump... wages are down... Sounds like Biden these days...
