One of the most pressing issues facing the scientific and medical communities is the catastrophic loss of the public’s trust in accepting their advice and/or recommendations. And it’s overwhelmingly due to their own actions and statements.
There are books' worth of examples worth of examples. Such as the early part of the pandemic when they flip-flopped on masks, from claiming that they didn’t work to stating that getting 80% of the public to wear them would end the pandemic in a matter of weeks, to their claims that the lab leak was a racist conspiracy theory, and all the way to absurdities such as predicting the Super Bowl in Florida would be a "superspreader event."
Or the mass panic when states like Mississippi and Texas ended their mask mandates, or when the mandate on airplanes was lifted…and nothing happened afterward.
But certainly nothing may have damaged their trust more than the steadfast assertions that the COVID vaccines were able to stop infection and transmission. And one study and analysis from a heavily credentialed group of experts on the vaccines shows how committed they were to misleading people in order to suit their political and ideological aims.

How can any vaccine PREVENT airborne virus (such as flu, covid, common cold, smallpox) from entering respiratory system?
Virus inhaled will begin replicating fast. If vaccine has created enough anti-bodies for the specific virus, symptoms may never show up if virus is killed off fast. THat does NOT mean vaccine stopped virus invasion, it just won the fight quickly before symptoms showed up.
I never got the shots, mainly, because when they began dispensing them, there wasn't even an accurate test available to detect it properly. I tested positive for Covid twice, within 6 months. I had to have a mandatory test twice before medical procedures could be done. I had no symptoms whatsoever either time. Nothing.
mRNA junk, that uses your body's cellular ribosomes to turn YOU into a GMO, producing unintended Frankenstein products that can cause who-knows-what.
Like many/most folks, I got the initial pair of mRNA crud (felt super icky after each one), and not long later, I got a rip-roaring case of covid.
The other type of vaccine is a traditional, protein-based vaccine (Novavax). I started an annual vaccination of those as soon as the product was released. No covid, and no side effects.
No vax and still alive. I’ve somehow survived while defying all of science, including the smartest man in history, Dr. Fauci.
Unfortunately you are precisely correct. I am a medical professional hospital pharmacist of many years now retired. For many years I had absolute trust in the CDC, and the drug companies studies. In effect if Pfizer, Astra, Moderna etc. said it we accepted as true. We accepted it as true due to their incredible history of developing new drugs to combat disease and they were good.
Relative to covid it can be summed up in two simple statements. They lied. Why did they lie?

Vaccines are supposed to prevent you from getting a disease. The best that can be said about the Covid vaccines is that they may have lessened the severity of your infection. So they weren’t much more than a therapeutic.
Nearly 18 months into the Trump Presidency and not a single one of the filthbags who foisted the scamdemic on us and then mercilessly enforced it, nearly at the point of a gun, has been indicted or arrested or tried or jailed.
At this point I think it's safe to say that none will be. As of a result of that lack of justice, this sort of travesty; one that crippled the West for years and cost millions of the "little people" their jobs, their businesses, their money, their homes, their health and their lives, will happen again.
Four years ago, we both got Covid and that mild cold (really, that's all it was for us), disappeared within days. The only reason I knew it was Covid was because we self-tested and came up positive.
Everyone I know who took the shot has gotten Covid multiple times. I know several folks who got all the "boosters" and have gotten it three, and the other four, times. We also have an acquaintence, a former gym instructor, whose body was destroyed by the shot - it wrecked his heart and neurological system.
Safe and effective my ass. . .
Beat me to it. After this came to light I then knew for sure it was all an evil con.
The shot never saved anyone, it killed millions.
The charade was over when health officials blessed the George Floyd/BLM riots by saying racism is an epidemic. The pandemic was a scheme to drive Trump from office.
My previously healthy ex wife had a very adverse reaction that included severe head aches and heart inflammation . She now has congestive heart failure as a result
I begged one of my friends not to have her outstanding athlete son vaccinated because young men were virtually zero risk for covid but very high risk for adverse reactions But she was a pro Biden vax zealot and she angrily cut me off from contact and pressured her son to take the vax Her son had an adverse reaction to the vax and has multiple debilitating heart issues with cardiac output and severe bouts with cardiac fibrillation
The list goes on.
Now we have Scarf Lady admitting that the vax was never intended for wide spread use and was only developed for older and other high risk individuals.
She looks young for 86. Of course, she has the advantage of being 66.

(Last week I was mistaken for 60, when I’m almost 20 years older. I have Christ and joy in my heart; I think that makes a difference. Oh... and I don’t have an illegitimate “vaccine” in my body, which probably helps, too.)
The “vax” pretty much wiped out my hand-quilting group, and some relatives.
My stupid cousin and his stupid wife, big Virginia libs, ran to get the first shot. A few hours later, Cuz was dead in his recliner. When it came time for his widow to get the first booster ... she did. She lived, but their son in his 30s, also vaxed, did die.
