Despite listing the charges in the indictment of the Southern Poverty Law Center and without even questioning their validity, the Associated Press writes it off as a 'political weapon' on the part of the Trump administration.
The AP's Collin Binkley, Alanna Durkin Richer, and Rebecca Boone came up with this remarkable summary of the indictment on Tuesday in "Southern Poverty Law Center charged with defrauding donors with payments to extremist informants."
They gave an inclusive summary of the serious charges against the SPLC ...before essentially writing them off as politically motivated.

Funny, because the SPLC itself IS “a political weapon.”
I Guess funding the KKK is no bad thing.
But pointing it out and telling people — “Hey! Those guys are funding the KKK!” that would be an evil, political dirty trick?
The Media has a really flexible view of journalism and the concept of”covering the news”.
Geez. They might want to check which other lefties, such as the “media” were also feeding the KKK and White Supremacy Nazis.
The AP should be framed as a political weapon for the communists.
ActBlue, Open Society, Tides Center... If one didn't have a secure future they could consider opening a right wing hate group as a source of income.
It was inevitable that the AP would frame the indictments as Trump seeking revenge on his critics, rather than addressing the actual terms of the indictments. It is also inevitable that they would not condemn the SPLC for funding right-wing groups that it labeled as “terrorist” and “extremist.” The AP is a partisan POS organization, not an objective news agency. They are a bunch of dangerous buffoons.
Because of the SPLC Heather Heyer is dead, and James Fields is in prison life ruined forever. The SPLC also went after Gavin McInnes, and Stephen Crowder, and probably a hell of a lot more. They deserve a lot worse than indictment.

Why not fund it? After all, it is a Democrat organization.
I mean, they are in a way: they bankrupted the Klan in the 1980s.
