Female IDF reservists were forced to guard violent Nukhba terrorists at the Sde Teiman base and detention center in the days following October 7, 2023, despite repeated sexual harassment, according to a Monday KAN News report.
"We would serve them food, cuff them, be with them for long hours, and during this time, they would masturbate in front of us, blow us kisses, and try to undress. Their gazes were degrading, stripping. It was unbearable,” one reservist told KAN News's Carmela Menashe.
“I didn’t enlist in the IDF for this,” one of the soldiers, who is refusing to return to the role, despite the risk of being declared AWOL (absent without leave), told Menashe. “Take me to the battlefield, to war – just not to stand in front of terrorists, murderers, and rapists.”
“This place [Sde Teiman] left a deep mark on me," she said. "I want to serve, want to contribute – but not there. Not under these conditions.”
The women were also required to guard the terrorists in uncomfortably intimate situations with no buffer or protection.
“We were required to guard them...even when they showered, during handcuff exchanges – situations that are difficult, disturbing, and humiliating for women. There was no proper separation, no protection for us,” they told KAN. "We would leave, and they would come back to us at night, in nightmares. We would cry to each other. We just wanted to get out of that role."
The reservists added that they were not allowed to talk to any IDF mental health professional, and were routinely ignored by their superiors when they attempted to bring attention to the issue.
Leaving Sde Teiman did not solve the problem of the ongoing trauma responses, they said. One of their colleagues, who also guarded Sde Teiman terrorists, has been hospitalized and is undergoing long-term mental health care, KAN reported.
Sexual violence in Israeli jails: 38% of female guards assaulted by security prisoners
This issue has previously been brought to the military's attention. In April 2024, Israel’s State Comptroller, Matanyahu Englman, criticized the IDF for reportedly ordering female Cadets in the Officers' Course to guard Nukhba terrorists.
Englman said such orders were in stark contrast with the 2022 female soldiers' protection report, which noted that 38% of female prison guards say they've been sexually assaulted by Palestinian security prisoners.
“If we add recent evidence that the hostages experienced sexual harassment, the writing is on the wall,” Engelman added.
feral scum animals
easy solution...
if the prisoners behaved in certain ways, recorded on camera, they would be subjected to some ‘edison medicine’ and left to drool in their own filth.
QED
Strict prison
Every one of those Pal pig terrs should have been publically executed and their corpses few to hungry swine.
As a male sexist pig I don’t think women should be doing these type jobs mainly because females are physically at risk in proximity to bigger stronger men.
However, I also believe women have the mental toughness to handle it. If nurses can care for men, bathing, providing bed pans, inserting catheters etc. And while not morally equivalent most sex workers are women and handle disgusting environments.
That said, there should always be a big ugly male brutish guard presence whenever females have interaction with prisoners (both male and female).
Simple. Behave yourself if you want to keep your beard.
Based on your statement, then the USA is becoming uncivilized and full of mentally ill men.
Tell that to the feminazi’s.
So DEI, required the West and liberals elsewhere, is being followed in Israel. Females should no be required to guard prisoner.
How about giving them a good beating?
They don’t have a ‘decision’. By law, women in Israel have to serve at least 24 months.
Women in Israel have been required to serve since 1948. I think matters other than ‘feminazism’ were the reasons for that.
I did not make it personal. You did. You’re free to do that, of course, but it demeans you and invalidates whatever point you’re trying to make.
If you choose to take my posts personally, that’s your problem.
Beyond that I stand by my statement, which you quoted, as being 100% factually accurate.
You don’t have to like it.
“Sex differences are a fact”, as you correctly stated upthread. Deal with it.
I commented on your obvious resentment. You seem to enjoy exhibiting it. Like others on this thread, you seem to think that women in the IDF are there through some willful feminist ideology, and difficulties they experience through their mandatory service are somehow ‘their fault’.
You presumed to know my state of mind. You cannot possibly know that; your presumption is ignorant and arrogant, and reflects very badly on you.
Once again, to quote (Oh, yes: YOU) “Sex differences are a fact”. You, madam, need to deal with that fact if you intend to be taken seriously. So far, you have failed to do so.
This particular incident with female IDF soldiers and mohammedan filth highlights your point: “Sex differences are a fact”.
The idiotic belief, popular among "strong and independent modern wymyn" ... that men and women are interchangeable ... is inconsistent with reality. The IDF needs to learn that lesson. "Strong and independent modern wymyn" need to learn that lesson.
And YOU, madam, if you wish to be taken seriously, need to learn the technique of discussing issues rather than insulting persons.
Female IDF soldiers captured after the October 7 Hamas attack were repeatedly sexually assaulted and the animals doing the assaults gleefully videoed the rape.
You’re right, there is a requirement for most to serve. But while military service is mandatory for most Jewish Israeli women, they can choose to serve in non-combat roles, such as administrative, technical, or educational positions. Furthermore, women can request an exemption from military service entirely on religious, conscience, or marriage grounds. So it is their choice to go into combat and their commitment. They, like women American service members, have a choice. That’s what I was referring to.

Is guarding detainees considered a ‘combat role’?

Should fix the perp's problem. Long lasting effects.
