The U.S. blockade of Iranian ports will continue, and the ceasefire with Iran will be extended, President Donald Trump said Tuesday, citing "serious fractures” within the Iranian regime.

“Based on the fact that the government of Iran is seriously fractured, not unexpectedly so, and, upon the request of Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan, we have been asked to hold our attack on the country of Iran until such time as their leaders and representatives can come up with a unified proposal,” Trump said in a post shared on Truth Social.

“I have therefore directed our military to continue the blockade and, in all other respects, remain ready and able, and will therefore extend the ceasefire until such time as their proposal is submitted and discussions are concluded, one way or the other,” he added.

The Saudis East-West pipeline takes out about 5 million bbls a day. The Iranians attacked it, but the outage was just few days. Another 3 million bbls a day from Saudi goes out thru eastern ports, which are affected by the Iranian closure of the strait.

The Gulf States will face similar storage problems. Gulf Arab nations possess roughly 350 million barrels of onshore oil storage capacity, though actual operational capacity is often lower due to constraints. Saudi Arabia leads with storage for about 65 days, while the UAE (19 days), Qatar (20 days), and Kuwait (~14 days) follow, with Iraq having the lowest capacity at around 6 days.

Regime change is the only solution. Khomeini hijacked the Iranian Revolution and achieved power when the regular army switched allegiance to him. Let’s hope the current tyrannical theocratic regime is toppled. It would change the region forever.

Iran is trying to arrange the chairs at the table...who's at the head??? last week, this week or next week or next week.

The leadership appears to be the problem. This whole thing could be ended by Iran....just open the damn strait. They're destroying themselves by keeping it closed. Like...duh..

As we write, there are explosions in Iran. Word has it that there is a Miltary coup that just started. That is why Trump said it is too fractured to have a deal. Also, rumor has that the IRGC will strike first when the cease fire ends in an hour. The IRGC have rejected Trump’s extension that he issued 2 hours ago. The Media has nor caught up yet.

I’m praying for that. Hopefully Artesh will act before Iran and the other nations lose their oil wells. Very soon.

Tousi isn’t sure who is responsible for the explosions but has reported that there are claims that the Iranian govt officials including Ghalibaf have been put under house arrest.

I’m wondering what has to happen before Artesh steps up to do what is right.

Unconfirmed reports - IRGC have placed the president, foreign minister and speaker of the parliament under house arrest.

Explosions reported in south Teheran and the town of Rasht. The latter was caught on video - a basij car exploded.

Do you think our military couldn’t take over the Strait of Hormuz at will?

Yes, that's what I think.

Do you own a map?

Pres Pezechkian (sp?), Ghalibaf, and Aragchi haven’t been heard from for about 5 hours so the house arrest might be true. Have to wait and see.

I told you all that Trump would extend the ceasefire. He wants crude prices to stay just where they are for the midterm elections. He has moved on from Iran.

The new U.S. naval blockade is quietly grinding the Iranian regime into a fine powder. Why be in such a rush to resume the boom?

Well, the Democrats and others get to joke about this for now.

‘The “Iran” policy of President Trump is “I ran”’.

But Netanyahu needs to finish the job and how dirty will he go to change the government of Iran with Trump riding shotgun?

“I am not convinced that the chicoms aren’t getting through with their own version of lend lease. Hope you are correct.”

How? It’s not coming by boat. So there would be a massive plane incoming akin to the Berlin airlift.

And missile batteries don’t exactly fit in in a commercial carrier.

Or overland through Afghanistan or Pakistan.

I don’t see either happening.
