Scientists Found Evidence Of The Biggest Event In Earth’s History
That would be my birthday which is April 17 ๐ ๐ ๐
There was a SF-Fantasy series written by Randall Garrett and his wife, Vicki Ann Heydron - The Gandalara Cycle - that takes place on the dry bed of the Mediterranean. The books were written mostly by Heydron from an outline by Garrett, as he was in poor health at the time. Two modern people on a ship on the Med are blown back in time to inhabit Gandalaran bodies, it’s not until the last book that they realize they are in a dried up Med basin, and the water trickling over Gibraltar looks ominous. The series ends with the Gibraltar dam starting to break while the inhabitants are struggling to leave the basin. Haven’t read these books in a long time, but I remember them as good reads.

Was the Cambrian Explosion 530 million years ago which, for unclear reasons, began life as we know it on Earth. This was first noted in the 1840s. After that, everything else is minor.
I looked that up; it was by Daniel Moreau Berringer. Never read it, but I might.
That was a good series. I still have all four books around, might reread them someday.
I remember those. They were pretty good, but it’s decades since I read them. I might not have read all of them, either.
The biggest event in Earth’s history was the invention of the Segway.
Now imagine that today, but with every person there holding up a cellphone walking in circles trying to get a signal and complaining that ATT/Verizon/T-Mobile didn’t put any extra towers in so they could live stream it.
