Maybe there is some evil doings behind this or maybe not. There are probably tens of thousands of scientists, nuclear, space, pharma, etc. A handful of them killed or seem to have disappeared might be within an average similar to other professions.

Before her death, she was openly researching and trying to develop anti-gravity technology, a way to control or cancel out gravity... I would think that gravity...being one of the four fundamental forces...would best be controlled rather than cancelled out.
