One of the Democratic Socialists of America’s top leaders and architects of Mayor Mamdani’s rise to power is a mime.
Flatbush theater kid David Jenkins was elected last year to the DSA’s National Political Committee — the socialist group’s highest decision-making body — where he leads implementation of its major political goals.
Self avowed anti-capitalist Jenkins, 40, is a proud founder of the Broken Box Mime Theater, where he performs pantomime to “a heart-thumping soundtrack” in full mime makeup.
In images on his personal website, he can be seen in black attire, his face painted white with black teardrops, staring in astonishment as he pretends to hold out a map in one photo, and acting like the walking dead during some kind of zombie apocalypse in another.

Our do nothing Congress didn’t act to make mimes illegal. So they still hang around. Same with accordion players.

I don’t hold with killing mimes like some folk do, but things like expulsion, revoking citizenship, and prison should be available
There's always something nearly everyone can do to justify existing or even to help society improve.
A mime is a terrible thing to waste.
