Freepers, where's gasdr? He touted the wonderfulness of the covid vaccine and defended it vociferously. He was also a welcome poster on other topics. I note he hasn't posted anything since 10/31/25 and it's worrisome.

You might be right. Too often if you go against what’s popular at the moment here on FR, you’re not just wrong. You’re denounced as an idiot, a troll, etc.
That’s actually a Saul Alinsky tactic.
Good point. No shortage of that in what is left of this place.
And in April-May 2020 he was so scared of the Chinavirus2019 in his FR postings.
He was so scared that he would wear his scrubs at home after work.
I called him out for violating protocols for infectious disease & bio hazards and possible risks to his family of something he was so scared of.

Plus he had his minions scurrying around to back him up. I wouldn’t have minded hearing his opinion on this “vaccine” since he’s supposedly a doctor, but it was the condescension that really irked me.
I’ve forgotten the name he used here, but
until about a year and a half ago, there used to be this Freeper from Australia, who’s hobby obsession was the lives of glamourous, long dead female stars of Hollywoods golden era. His online name began with an ‘O’.
His post would be either a study of those women and their careers, or local news about political activism now happening in Australia. He would often have posters leave little digs and insults in the Keywords: Go Away! Learn to Post! Who Cares?? Creepy!!. I thought he was an interesting fellow who was brave enough to literally get involved in defending his side of the political argument. I tend to play it more safely. Maybe he quit or is on hiatus.
He was regularly treated like crap. I am sure he just moved on. It’s too bad. Different voices make a place less like an echo chamber. But thats not FR right now.
That's true, but gasdr wasn't just "going against what's popular at the moment."
He was a full-blown COVID vaccine shill who may have been violating his own profession's code of ethics if he really was a medical doctor.
I will ask my brother in law about him - he is actually a member of the same church. And he is a doctor. And I’ve met him in person, long before the scamdemic came to be.
I think he was too trusting of the medical hierarchy, he went full tilt in favor of the jab. Which was not the right move, and he really should have come to that realization early on.
Here’s the way I look at it. It’s a long story, but I avoided the Covid jab pretty much by dumb luck.
Fauci pushed that jab, hard. And Fauci was originally appointed by Ronald Reagan. And he was continued in his offices by Donald Trump.
So I assign zero blame to folks here who were proponents of the jab. They were perhaps just too trusting of Reagan and Trump.
I seem to recall, seeing that poster as well more recently… But not a lot.
This disagreement wasn’t about whether it’s a faux pas to wear white after Labor Day. It was about whether or not ppl trusted the govt enough to inject an unauthorized experimental vaccine into our bodies after only 9 months of testing vs the usual 9 yrs, especially when BigPharma & the CDC had no liability for the shot. To vilify freepers, who were exercising their right to informed consent & were vaccine hesitant as a result, did nothing to assuage our fears & was just plain wrong.
One of the things about COVID is - it’s not just that there is extreme polarization, but that both “sides” proclaim things that are true, and things that are not.
I am personally convinced that 3 doses of Pfizer or Moderna vax in 2020-21 greatly reduced the chances of having your lungs destroyed by SARS CoV 2 infection.
YMMV.
As soon as August 2021, when it was clear vaccine did not prevent infection, promotion of vaccine by authorities should have stopped.
I had shot #1 & 2 in December 2020 and January 2021. I had #3 in October 2021. I don’t want more.
I think, but I’m not entirely sure, that gasdr was an anesthesiologist and he was very against ivermectin. To his credit, he did provide information about how to calculate the correct dosage of the drug. He said he wasn’t in favor of using the drug but he didn’t want people to take the wrong amount.
