Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) responded to photos of him at Disney World over the weekend in the midst of a partial government shutdown.
Graham was seen at the theme park in Florida on Friday and Saturday with a bubble wand while waiting in line to get on the Space Mountain ride.
“I was invited to a meeting in South Florida on Friday with Trump official Steve Witkoff … to talk about the possibility of normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel,” Graham told TMZ in a statement, which was also shared with The Hill.
“I went to Orlando to meet friends after. I’m already back in South Carolina,” he added, urging TMZ to call a Democrat to discuss the shutdown.
Images of Graham emerged after TMZ requested photos of lawmakers away from Washington during the shutdown.

On Monday, the South Carolina senator posted a picture of himself hunting with a gun in Edgefield County, S.C., after receiving pushback for vacationing while Transportation Security Administration (TSA) staff are being asked to work without pay.
The Department of Homeland Security, which houses TSA, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Border Patrol, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, among other agencies, has been shut down for more than 45 days.
The House and Senate are in a standoff over whether to fund immigration agencies as Democrats push for reforms following the deaths of two U.S. citizens at the hands of federal authorities.

Comon don’t badmouth the Nautilus ride, it was one of the first rides I ever went on at Disney World...so very cool.
I don’t see a problem with it either, although I like the Epcot Center better.
Nice virtue signaling you’re doing there.
We ALL LOVE and hold our military dearly in our hearts. Many of us, here, show so, repeatedly.
For you to repeatedly exploit this young man and his family’s honor, is beyond reproach.
Make fun of Linda all you want, but, leave this man’s honor out of your sanctimoniousness Pharisaism.
Gay day. That’s what I thought.
He’s got enough protection just from his staff to keep that from ever happening.
My wife and I took our seven year old son to Disney once about twenty years ago. We stayed at the Dolphin hotel right behind Epcot because a friends brother was a manager there. So, we got the employee rate.
I was good with a one day at each park for the rest of my life. The Animal Kingdom was probably my favorite. Then MGM.
Epcot had one okay ride. The Magic Kingdom was VERY dated.
I would never go again, even if it was free.
Now do the four US servicemen who drown in a Lithuanian bog last year. Or the three killed in Jordan only a couple of years ago. Or the serviceman who died only weeks ago in the Pennsylvania Army depot. Or the trainee who died during basic training in Fort Jackson. Or....
Thank you! I was thinking the same!
It’s the timing...if you are a US leader who is sending young men and women into harms way RIGHT NOW...it would reassure the public to know that THEY and THEIR FAMILIES are on YOUR mind especially as you weigh every decision.
A better optic would be to visit with military families. Or take some of the kids of those deployed to Disneyworld.
Weird as it is, this still looks like "ambush reporting". Shouldn't TMZ stick to reporting on their own hollywieird freaks?
Yeah, with an exception.
Took the kids to Disney long ago. Been back to Disney with grandkids. I cannot imagine an adult - at least an adult man - ever wanting to do that without kids (grandkids, nieces/nephews, etc). Free country, I guess - but without the bonus of ridiculously happy kids/grandkids/etc? Going to Disneyland solo would seem like being sent to Gitmo to me.
However, I will admit that enjoy cruises... Of course, if no younguns along, I’m picking something skewing towards the older crowd.
A big part of that, I guess, is that it’s the rare trip where I leave the work laptop home. I love the ocean. I love just lounging in the sun with a boat drink. The missus and I *do* sometimes fight about how much of the “events” and planned “shore excursions” we’re going to do - I’d rather explore on my own at port calls; she prefers to do the planned excursions.
I have a feeling after following politics for 40 years, you have to be a deviant to stay in this long. The puppet masters require compromised figures they can manipulate.
AMEN, Worldtraveler.
Linda’s a Senator, not the US POTUS.
Speaking of POTUS ... I don’t recall the whining, from these, um, posters when American citizens were killed in the ME, on 0bammy’s watch.
President Trump is Commander-in-Chief. You can worry about "optics" and maybe get "doe-eyed" as you wrote in your thread of yesterday which was pulled, but I share little concern for this.
Members of the military -- from my time in the US Army long ago, when I helped bury a few of my buddies, and to today -- are there to be ready to be in "harm's way." Our military -- any military, in fact -- stand to risk life and limb when asked to do so.
A fine observation. Remember when the Idiot-in-Chief Biden checked his watch while "receiving" some military dead? These kinds of posts and comments of the moment are aimed at the Trump-Vance administration. Neo-cons or "seminar callers" as Rush used to say, or just plain old "never-Trump" types, the stance of caring seems -- well -- propagandist.
Yes, in my first career field in the USAF we lost more to industrial accidents than we ever did to enemy action.
Air Cargo.
You are around a LOT of big equipment and cargo moving that can squash you.
Promotions were great though.
In many fields in the military, peacetime is just as dangerous as in war.
Since Vietnam though, a young person is safer even in combat than in a college or university in the USA.
A lot of drunken and drugged stupid deaths.
Agree.
I *almost* referenced seminar caller/posters .... propagandist posters, nonetheless.
I miss Rush.
