After 26 years in Israel, I look more Israeli than Iranian, but even though I left Iran, the country is still part of me," Saidian told AFP.
Saidian, who was wearing two pins on her lapel -- an Israeli flag and an Iranian one from before the 1979 Islamic revolution -- cries openly when talking about her native country, which she said she misses every day.

If there were to be a football match between Israel and Iran, Saidian said she was not sure which side she would support.
"We're like children with divorced parents: you love your mother and father equally," the 45-year-old said.
Before the Middle East war began, she hosted a one-hour weekly show on Reka radio, part of the public broadcaster KAN, that could be heard between programmes in Spanish and Russian. But since March 1, she has broadcast from KAN's studios in Jerusalem every day.
"Greetings to all those who seek the path of freedom, and to the loyal listeners of Radio KAN Farsi. This is Sahar, and today we're with you for a special programme packed with content," she begins, before introducing her guests, Iranians in exile like the singer Shahin Najafi.
Aaron Yaakobi, who runs the only Iranian restaurant in Jerusalem, has called Israel home for far longer, having arrived in Israel at the age of 10.
As he watches dishes cook, he hums along in Persian to the music playing in his restaurant.
...His dream is now "to buy a ticket to Tehran" so he can show his children and grandchildren the country where he was born.

Iran is an amazing, beautiful country. It’s a tragedy it had to be invaded and conquered by Islam, like so many others as well.
It actually had a large Jewish population until the revolution and a small population was tolerated by the regime.
Yeah I remember in the fall of 1979 when my junior high school in NY got an influx of Iranian Jewish kids.
I know a number of Jewish Iranians in my area.
Everything that Islam touches turns to a pile of crap. Unless you watch Hollyweird movies and Resort ads where all the sandbox countries are lovely.
Long for Iran? Don’t go back. Vacation maybe.
Once the Big Mo gets his dirt nap, turn Iran into a Jewish nation. Easy-peasy.
A graphic novel autobiography of a girl who grew up in Revolutionary Iran. It was eventually made into a movie. The Author is 53 now and has been living in France in her adult years. I wonder what she thinks about this war?
Best I found, but it sure would be interesting to hear her interviewed right about now.
Sure, Daniel died there and is buried there I believe.
Never forget, all the dictatorships are the same,” she adds. “A night before they fall, everyone says: they are so solid, it’s impossible they can fall. Then they fall, and everyone asks: how could they have held for so long?”
If anything I'm likely overoptimistic. I think this could be the beginning of the end of Islam itself. If this revolution succeeds it could spread to other Islamic countries like the American Revolution eventually spread and brought down the Kings in Europe.
"Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!"
(Luke 24: 5-6)
"And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding."
(Daniel 2:21)
There is still a small, but significant population of Jewish people who live in Iran.
