Charlie Kirk murder: Docs claim Bullet used doesn't match alleged rifle
tmz ^ | March 30 | By TMZ Staff

There's a new twist in the case surrounding the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk ... new legal documents claim the bullet used to commit the crime does not match the rifle tied to suspect Tyler Robinson, TMZ has learned.

According to the legal docs obtained by TMZ, Robinson's defense team argues there’s a discrepancy between the ballistic evidence and the weapon prosecutors say is connected to Robinson ... who's facing multiple charges -- including aggravated murder and felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury -- in Charlie's slaying.

There is a big difference between proving it to not match verses can’t prove it one way or another. The fake headline makes it sound like it was proven to not match.

It is 100% BS, but the usual suspects who cheered when Charlie was killed are going to do their utmost to get this freak off.

It would be quite a development. guns leave identifying marks on bullets.

It could be a sabot round where a 22 caliber bullet is held in a plastic sleeve that fits a 30 caliber bore. Such a bullet would be very high velocity and would likely fragment into small pieces and would have shallow penetration which would explain no exit wound. They may know this from the rounds remaining in the rifle. I think this round is called an "Accelerator" round and it looks like this:

From what I remember the bullet hit below him and bounced up and killed him.
So the bullet would have been damaged before it hit him and disfigured

Wait — are you saying RandFan posted a story that’s meant to dismay actual conservatives on this site? (Plus, wasn’t this story already posted a day ago?)

Was the shooter smart enough to have two rifles - one left where investigators were sure to find it, and one used for the shooting and not discovered by the investigators.

A few even claim that they were Charlie’s friend, they will work to get the accused off or muck things up so bad that a killer walks free.

People that really care would wait before slinging shhh at the wall. That is only helping to muddy the waters.

The family of the accused turned him in.

Oh, but I’m sure Charlie’s ‘friends’ also care more about the accused than his own family, yeah right. $$$$ Look at me, look at me! $$$$

Burn.

Media leftists like the Daily Mail and ‘MAGA’ leftists like Candace Owens are working hard to free the murderer.

There was no engraving on the bullets, the rifle found had DNA on it from 5 people. The trained dogs could not find the rifle, and the FBI came in at night and “found it” easily.

The focus on Tyler Robinson ran out the clock, the real culprits have now disappeared like smoke. It is what governments train their assassins to do.

“Rather unusual for a bullet to fragment on impact unless it is designed to do that.”

No it’s not you must not hunt enough. Having fired well into the hundreds of thousands of rounds and having shot animals in size from mice to moose and water buffalo.

Most bullets fragment on impact with bone only specially designed bonded, solid metal or partition type bullets stay whole or mostly so on impact with bone.

I have shot Nosler Partitions at very large animals out of 300 win mag, 375 H&H mag , and 338 win mag even then hitting bone on a buffalo or moose will smash the whole front end up. A hollow tip match bullet would fragment on such an impact.

It’s likely the bullet used on Kirk was a OTM bullet that’s open tip match bullet the kind real snipers use because they are match grade jackets, and down to the single grain in mass and they are balanced to spin in axis and not yaw. All of those things are needed to connect at 600+ yards let alone 1000. While the distance in this shooting was under 200 yards the rifle and bullets would be capable of much further. At short range a OTM hitting bone such as the neck vertebrae or collar bone would frag it instantly. Same for any polymer tip aka ballistic tip bullet as well. 30cal 110gr polymer tip would fragment in flesh alone the VMax series is famous for this effect. Ok a large enough mass there would be no exit holes.

Some of the best hunting bullets made never had one fail to expand and penetrate even in buffalo sized game.

Interesting.

Thanks.

I recall many on social media (X, etc.) that day saying what we saw WAS the exit wound, from the way the blood gushed out.

(Okay, then where was the entrance wound?)

Maybe these bullets you’ve shown could also cause the blood to gush as it did.

RIP dear Charlie.
