A Maryland House bill that would require tampons and other menstrual-hygiene products in both men’s and women’s bathrooms in public buildings has set off a fresh round of argument in Annapolis. Backers are pitching it as an issue of access and dignity for people who menstruate, while critics say the whole thing is unnecessary and potentially pricey to pull off.

Buy me some peanuts and tampons...
Yeah, middle school boys will be clogging toilets flushing those. There are layers and layers and layers of stupidity here by these virtue-signalling Dem legislators.
I hate this state.
If I was a schoolboy and saw that stuff in the Boy’s Room I just take the stuff out of the machine and throw it all around.
When I first saw the headline I thought it was referring to the Naval Academy.
Any mens restroom I am in with tampons, flushing them all down the toilets...
People who menstruate?.....
We are suppose to say people who menstruate, rather than women who are menstruating.
In today’s politically correct world, it is a crime against humanity to suggest that it is women and only women who menstruate.
We must bend over backwards to avoid offending the sensibilities of the one in a million so called trans, a woman who identifies as a male because she could menstruate, but then she identifies as a male, so we can’t say that only women menstruate.
“...for people who menstruate...”
That is female, always have, always will. These fools.
I read a medical report the other day, and it mentioned “people with breasts.”
When a culture can be cowed into adopting that kind of language it only shows that that culture has been completely taken over and people will accept anything and everything and the joyful acceptance of complete enslavement is not far off.
guess it’s been confirmed...
maryland guys are all a bit light in the loafers
How did we become stuck on stupid on so many issues? These Reps are not doing us justice. Garbage like this proves that our votes are meaningless....and there are too many sheep in the pasteur. They need a good dog to keep them in line...and there is none.
I left 11 and a half years ago and don’t miss it. Come to Florida. You’ll be happier.
And these people also talk about “birthing persons” and “pregnant people”. In this liberal newspeak, it is verboten to speak in a way that would suggest that only women can become pregnant. We are compelled to modify our language. So talking about pregnant people, for example, we’re not saying that only women are pregnant.
God help anyone who happens to mention something about pregnant women in today’s climate.
These people are crazy!
The only logical reason to have tampons in a men’s bathroom is as emergency supplies in case the toilet paper runs out. That would also provide employment for plumbers to correct the problems when the tampons get flushed.
historians 300 years from now will point this out as a signposts of our era’s insanity, and debt-fed government failure, which led to our collapse.
Aw, for cripe's sake - don't even go there "potentially pricey". That's stupid.
The whole thing is asinine and not to be tolerated.
I can see it coming
Public Works Center Maintenance Service Guidelines will need to be revised to include repairs on the Tampon machines in the Annapolis men’s heads
I love blue crabs. I love going to the ocean towns. I love the Naval Academy.
Everything else, namely Baltimore city, can fall in a hole!!
What is this right to tampons anyway regardless of the bathroom? If it’s about hygiene, provide free toothbrushes, floss, toothpaste and mouthwash. If women get free things in bathrooms for hoo-ha hygiene, why doesn’t everyone get stuff for oral hygiene?
Or go back to just TP and everyone have their own supplies of whatever else.
