While the GOP overwhelmingly supports the war, most Dems and more importantly most Independents don't. That explains the polling numbers showing most people do not support the actions in Iran. At best the public is 50/50 on this issue.

A little early for fibbing, read the article, I will quote, “Eighty-one percent of Republicans say the operation has been successful, along with 56 percent of unaffiliated voters and 45 percent of Democrats.”
That is not “at best 50/50.” The rest of the article is similar, while not an 80/20 issue it is definitely not a 50/50 “issue at best” no matter how much you try to ague through assertion that it is.
The Qatarlson faction makes big noises but they have been punked by real MAGA. Who are along for the wild Trump ride in Iran. He who dares wins! MAGA!

First of all, I’m not sure that “pro-war” is the correct label.
“Pro-Eliminating a Theo-Fascist Regime That Has Been Murdering Americans For Almost Fifty Years and Wants a Nuclear Bomb So They Can Get the Twelfth Imam To Rise From a Well in Qom and Cause the Apocalypse” is more accurate.
And even though I did my full Army career and my body is now old and broken, I would be glad to get some vengeance against the mullahs who killed my friends in Iraq, if I was allowed to.

The most recent Fox poll had it at 50/50. The rest of the polls had it somewhere just under 60/40 opposed. Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just telling you when the numbers are.
I literally just showed you a poll where the weighted average is the exact opposite and would be 60/40 in support.
Oh, and I will add, the one I showed you has a significantly better track record of accuracy than the ones you are mentioning. Especially any polling from NBC/ABC or CBS which have no credibility.
So, who to believe, my lying eyes or you.
Personally, I consider most of the polls anything but a measure, they are mor often made to create a narrative, I have fun showing how contradictory they are.

My gut is telling me this is what is happening here. Everyone should be cautions about accepting any single source at face value.
The midterm elections are now only seven and a half months out. That is the only poll which really counts.
The only poll that counts is in November.

You’re correct it’s not 50/50. Let’s do back on envelope math:
(.81*46%) + (.56* 9%) + (.45*45%) =62.6%
