MIAMI — President Trump said Monday that he’s brought prices down so much that Democrats have stopped using the word “affordability.”
“They also gave us very high prices and then they said the word, ‘affordability.’ That’s first time I ever heard it,” Trump said at the annual House Republican retreat in Miami.
“My first day in office, they said, ‘affordability,’ They’re the ones that caused the problem,” he continued. “But we’re really bringing down prices big.
“Do you notice you don’t hear that word anymore? … They don’t say it anymore because we brought down prices so much.”
Trump said the GOP message ahead of the midterm elections should be “simple.”
“Democrats created the high prices and our policies are totally ending them,” the president declared.
Gas prices have surged following joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran that killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, dozens of senior officials in Tehran as well as Tehran’s ballistic missile and drone capacities.
The Feb. 28 military action prompted retaliatory attacks from Iran on Israel and neighboring Persian Gulf countries — as well as the shuttering of the Strait of Hormuz.
Nearly 20% of the world’s oil supply passes through the channel, and Trump has vowed to do anything necessary to keep the barrels moving out of Gulf on tankers — including floating US ships escorting the vessels.

The allied media drives the narrative for Democrats. The media created the affordability narrative for Dems to use. They used it and if they move on to a narrative about Trump’s 20 year Iran war, the media will double team picking up the affordability narrative again.

Gas just rose 30 cents AS SOON AS the attack on iran- now that prices are dropping- i imagine it will take my state a month to start lowering their price per gallon again-

Oh Lord have mercy, Gas is a whopping 3 dollars and 15 cents where you are.
Gas is cheap when you realize the dollar is worth jack nothing vs 2008 and a gallon of gas has roughly somehow been the same price, without the ability to shrink packages or product volume....
Try a different super market. The local ones are so damn over priced that amazon fresh is much more in line with 2016 prices. Havent seen a 12 pack of soda for 4 dollars in a long time, with no deal. 3 pounds of organic apples was like 4 bucks as well.
Even at costco I am paying at least 8 bucks for 3 pounds of organic apples.
Yes. People might be ignorant of foreign policy or trade negotiations, but they know the actual price of groceries, gas, rent, home repair, and insurance.

It’s a Parable. Your Mileage May Vary depending upon your outlook on life and the world and The Word. I’ve found that it works for me. Just wanted to share with others the importance of planning ahead for lean times. I grew up with Grandparents IN MY HOME that lived through the Depression. Those of us born after those days are utterly CLUELESS about how awful things can be, but if we do not learn for history...Blah, Blah, Blah...you know the rest.
And compared to Brandon (well, Brandon’s Evil Cartel; he was and still is a potato) and every other Socialist Democrat and feckless Quisling RINO that’s come before him we’re in Gravy Days, Baby!
Yes, things aren’t as good as they WILL BE if we can stay on this trajectory post-President Trump, but they could be a hellovalot WORSE.
Things can ALWAYS be worse. For us personally and for our Nation as a whole. :)
