In the United States — and the civilizational “West” more broadly — we are a society divided by slogans, propaganda, and social media memes. It is an unfortunate part of our present reality that we no longer engage in honest “public debate.” We haven’t done so for a very long time.
The Founding Fathers wrote essays and pamphlets and delivered hours-long speeches during which they articulated the reasons for their beliefs. We get pink-hatted people — who may or may not identify as women — “shouting their abortions.” We get automatons screaming, “Black lives matter,” “Free Palestine,” “Trump is Hitler,” “Hands off Iran,” and whatever other mindless chants billionaire-funded NGOs churn out.
If you approach people yelling these things and ask them why they believe what they believe, they have no idea. They can’t explain why “all human lives,” more generally, shouldn’t matter just as much as those with dark skin. They don’t know anything about Israel’s ancient history, the United Kingdom and France’s colonial carving of the Middle East, the Soviet Union’s promotion of a “Palestinian” identity to cause the United States and its allies problems during the Cold War, any of the multitude of ways that the international community has broken its promises to the Israeli government for the last century, or how the United Nations has spent most of its existence targeting Israel for alleged “human rights” abuses while ignoring unspeakable evils committed by far too many regimes in power today. They can’t explain why illegal aliens are breaking into America if “Trump is Hitler” or why the president’s determination to protect American citizens from foreign nationals by paying for those foreigners’ return to their own countries is somehow equivalent to Nazi atrocities that included the mass murder of six million Jews and millions of Soviets, Poles,

Our education system has spent decades teaching what they call “critical thinking”. But what they meant was “Conclusion first. Marx was right about everything. Never mind why. Just believe that whites and males and capitalists are always wrong about everything. That’s all you need to be a Critical Thinker. And if you are a Critical Thinker, then you are better than everyone else.”

I keep saying the same thing. It’s a government, of the government, for the government, by the government. They don’t care about your opinion or your votes. They control the media, not free people. They control the money. They pay groups to force and decide the people, so we don’t notice them raiding the treasury.
The only course the people have is to force government to be a servant, and not master, is to limit its funding. That starts with a balanced budget Amendment that includes a lifetime ban on federal office for anyone in Congress if they spend more than they take in with taxes and Tariffs. Start there, and all the NGO’s, Soros funding, terrorist funding, as well as backing dirty states welfare games, end almost immediately.
Leadership will have to find a way to make it work, or they are all gone.
Multiculturalism creates a low trust society which turned a nation into an economic zone.
People only care about how much wealth they can extract from America for themselves and their special interest group . They don’t care about long term well being of the nation
We won’t get serious leadership until immigration ends and we increase mass deportations 10x

And that has been in the hands of the voters since 1789. They just choose to take advantage of the system for their personal use and political gain for others. No real deal here.

Under state law, the county property tax rates are a function of the budgets.
Under the federal system, the budgets and the tax rates are not connected. Deficit spending has become huge. No person has a clear incentive to say no to a federal budget increase.
What America needs is cheaper houses.
Imagine the impact of $50,000 Casa Griffin grade houses.
That would whack the property tax system, the Section 8 program, the banking system, etc.
How cheap can a house be built?
Sadly, that's true here on FreeRepublic as well. I recently posted my theory about the Nancy Guthrie case and got several very angry replies, but I could never get ANY of them to discuss WHY they think I'm wrong.
