John Cornyn compared January 6 to 9/11, and called attendees "white supremacists, domestic terrorists, insurrectionists, rioters, seditionists, anarchists."
He then asked then-FBI Director Chris Wray if a new law was needed to charge attendees with "domestic terrorism."

It would seem really odd for an adult child to support her dad if she thought he had totally betrayed her mother. And she believes that he didn’t defend himself against his wife’s accusations because he didn’t want to “cut the baby in half” (how King Solomon knew who was the baby’s real mother - the one who would rather see the baby go to another than to cut the baby in half). That’s the same mentality we see in Paxton when he originally said he would consider stepping out of the race in order to get the SAVE Act passed.
Yeah, about as awful as his Kentucky buddy Rand Paul, Tennessee's Marsha Blackburn, and the newly-elected Tennessee Senator Bill Hagerty, all declared days before January 6th, that they would be rejecting Biden's electors because of voter fraud in some states. All three had questioned the legitimacy of the election for weeks, but when the Senate returned to session to vote that day, all three flipped, and voted to accept Biden's electors they knew were fraudulent.

Did Cornyn call Trump an election denier? Did he claim Trump told the protesters to riot at the capitol when he never did?
Wouldn’t surprise me if he did. He’s never been on Trump’s side, to think he is now is foolish.

2,977 people died on 9/11, and we lost two iconic NYC towers and many other buildings around them. (I had stayed in the WTC hotel a couple of years earlier, and knew one person who died on 9/11.)
In contrast, five people died in the immediate aftermath of the January 6, 2021 events, including one wrongfully shot by police. The others did not die as the direct result of the 1/6 demonstrations.
9/11 was a national disaster! 1/6 (Theophany)—not so much.

I said on posts yesterday, that Mullin needs to be asked during his confirmation hearing if he feels the same way about Michael Bird today, as he did in 2021.
I hope Paxton will buck Trump on a Cornyn Senate endorsement.

I know about Mullen and Byrd. Please provide a reference for the Cornyn opinion. If this can be documented it needs to be circulated widely, Byrd is a cold blooded killer and people praising him need to be exposed.
Trump will regret not backing Paxton. His deal with Thune and Cornyn to pass the SACE Act for an endorsement is a deal with the devil.
Now that Trump has said he wants the SAVE act on his desk before he endorses, I want... a double-cross.
Thoon and Cornyn get it thru the Senate, it lands on Trump’s desk, he signs it into law, and then endorses Paxton anyway and goes to Texas to vigorously campaign for him.
Screw Thoon and Cornyn after the way they’ve both behaved.
