Does anyone know WHO the four lawmakers who stood on the Democrat side of the aisle when Trump asked the following question at the SOTU address last night:

Please stand if you think the priority of government should be to protect American citizens over illegal aliens?

I am guessing one of them was Jared Golden from the Trump district in Maine? Any idea on the others?

I think he should have followed with "Remain seated if you think our priority should be illegal aliens." . . . just to further drive the point home.

That was McConnell, Murkowski, Collins, and Cassidy.

Golden can afford to be bold — he is retiring this year.

I’ll guess 2 of the others were Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA) and Henry Cuellar (D-TX). Cuellar SHOULD be in trouble this year, and so should Perez but she’s probably relatively safe. Republicans should pick up Golden’s seat with ex-Governor Paul LePage but are struggling.

Perez’ district is just across from Portland, OR and is moving leftward by the minute, as the sewage from Portland flees the disaster it created — and now drags down Vancouver, WA.

This is what Google’s AI ‘Search Assist’ said to that question:

“WHO the four lawmakers who stood on the Democrat side of the aisle when Trump asked the following question at the SOTU address last night:

Search Assist

The four lawmakers who stood on the Democratic side of the aisle when Trump asked that question were Senators Jon Tester, Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, and Mark Kelly. Their action highlighted a rare moment of bipartisan agreement during the address”.

Were former senators there? I thought Tester and Manchin were no longer in office.

“Senators Jon Tester, Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, and Mark Kelly.”

Ah, good old AI. LOL.

Three of those 4 aren’t even Senators anymore and were not in attendance last night.

Tester, Manchin, and Sinema are all no longer there.

And I don’t think Kelly stood.

Yes, and the other 3 aren’t in office anymore and were not there.

Even more oddly, there is NO **Trump** SOTU in which all 4 of those Senators were even in office together.

Kelly’s first SOTU wasn’t until 2021 (Biden). Manchin, Sinema and Tester’s last SOTU was 2024 (Biden).

You have to be careful how you ask the question:

AI's answer may be right, but certainly not for last night's SOTU Address, since 3 out of 4 were not there because they are no longer in office. Mark Kelly never stood either.

But the interesting aspect is that there was another instance where only 4 Democrats stood for a Republican President's comment at a STOTU Address. 😁👍

AI just gets its answers from the Web. Who knows which websites they are pulling from.
