Former Vice President Mike Pence gloated over the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down President Donald Trump’s tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).
Pence took to X on Friday after the court issued its 6-3 decision against the tariffs, calling it a “victory” for Americans.

I know enough of your posting history to know that you are not the sort of Freeper I was referring to.
But many here seem to get a real kick out of condemning whole groups of people, be they gay, Black, or religiously ‘different’.
Some denizens of Free Republic often don’t really honor the great American value of Individuality when someone disagrees with them.

Pence is a reminder that Trump losing in 2020 helped expose this loser for who he really is so that in 2024 we got a great upgrade when Trump Jr recommended JD Vance as Trumps Veep! Pence would have tried to go on with running for President in 2024 and we would have been stuck with him as our miserable option. Now, he’s off the team and we have a great bunch of upcoming, young players who are already on track to lead us down the road!

What if all states (with Trump’s urging) decided to impose 10% tariffs on their own?
Could the power of Congress to “regulate” commerce with foreign nations now stop them?
States obviously retained the power to tax. Why not to impose duties too?
Some states with really big ports [California, New York] have revenue problems.

When you arw bought and paid for by foreign governments that stand to benefit from this decision, of course you gloat.
Pence had a great opportunity to really become a stalwart supporter of conservatives and the America-first agenda. Instead, he sold out to the globalists and communists. He never passes up an opportunity to speak out against Trump. I wonder what his price was for stabbing Trump and conservatives in the back. He is very vocal about what a strong Christian he is but his actions speak otherwise.
Who cares. Even in western Canada we know he’s a traitor rat. He was final say in the 2020 steal.
