The band also included a pro-Palestinian song in the group of six new songs, titled “The Tears of Things,” ripping Israel for putting violent Hamas terrorists “into a cage” and hinting that the band thinks Palestinian “rage” is justified. “If you put a man into a cage and rattle it long enough,” Bono sings, “A man becomes the kind of rage that cannot be locked up.”
Irish rockers U2 have released a short album on Ash Wednesday titled Days of Ash, with a track celebrating radical anti-ICE activist Renee Good and ripping Trump supporters as “the people of the lie.”
The song, “American Obituary,” is dedicated to Good, who was shot in January by ICE agents after she tried to use her SUV to run one officer over on January 7 in Minneapolis.
The band begins the song claiming that Good was crushed “like a coffee cup” and goes on to exclaim that “Renee Good born to die free.”
“American mother of three,” Bono sings on, “Seventh day January / A bullet for each child, you see.”
He next memorializes Good, singing, “Three bullets blast, three babies kissed / Renee the domestic terrorist???”
Bono then claims that Donald Trump and those who support ICE are “the people of the lie.”
“What you can’t kill can’t die,” he sings, with ever-so-subtle imagery of a crucifix displayed at this point in the lyric video. “America will rise / Against the people of the lie,” he continues.
Bono told the U2 fanzine Propaganda that he was influenced by Bob Dylan with the anti-police song. “The rhythm of the lyric is a nod to one of my favorite Bob Dylan songs, ‘It’s Alright Ma (I’m Only Bleeding),’

Boner and The Edge. Edge is a sub par guitarist and Boner always looks like he hasn’t showered in days.
Agree. That was a very good book.
Peck got himself in trouble though. I knew him and was headed to see him when he died. He got stung by evil as his soul wounds left him vulnerable. Success is poison when encountering dark spirits.
I still have several copies of that book and share them with people who are seeking to understand the psychology of evil.
Yah FU2 U2
Eno at the board made them wealthy
I have always hated that band. and Bono especially.
I do remember something untoward about his final years, but I'll have to look it up.
It looks as though Minneapolis has gifted the world with a second martyred saint. The first being St George of Fentanyl and now we have St Renee of the Immaculate Acceleration.
I had their SiriusXM channel saved as one of my favorites. Not any more.
. Like, George Floyd they are trying to raise her up to sainthood.

I will wait for the results of the investigation.
U2 have no influence on anyone who is not already a true believer.
Without Breitbart to gather quotes from degenerate celebrities and pass them off as news, we would be missing a whole lot of nothing.
Should we issue an Ash Alert?

......Renee Nicole Good (37) was a queer writer, poet, and mother who was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis on January 7, 2026, while acting in solidarity with neighbors. A member of the LGBTQ+ community, she relocated to Minnesota with her wife, Rebecca (Becca) Good, seeking a welcoming environment for their family....
U2 went off the rails years ago!
Virtue...signaled
Nobody’s fault but hers. Bono is an idiot.
Uh, the left and their stupid worship over this ugly and stupid lesbo is repulsive.
She was the architect of her own demise.
"Quincy Jones reckons Ireland is “so racist it’s frightening”.The 84-year-old has revealed he stays in Bono’s castle when he comes to visit.
“I stay at his castle in Dublin, because Ireland and Scotland are so racist it’s frightening."
He said, "‘Trying, Quincy, to assimilate, but it’s not coming easy.’" So I stay in his castle."
That's a pretty serious allegation. Do you have anything to support this?
Bono and the left are projecting as usual.
