A Florida man has been arrested after officials say he intentionally cut a teenager's neck.
Sullivan Clarke, 13, survived the attack on Feb. 14 and is recovering from the injury, while the suspect remains behind bars.
The backstory: The Clarke family was walking along Daytona Beach Boardwalk back to their hotel around 10 p.m. on Valentine's Day. They had spent the day at the Daytona International Speedway.
Sullivan was on his phone, just feet away from his parents, when his mother, Lori, noticed a man walking toward him. In a split second, the man reached out and slashed the teenager's neck.
"I thought he was stealing Sully's phone," Lori Clarke said. "As soon as he slashed him, I yelled, and I said 'Hey!"
The situation was much more dire than a robbery. Sullivan’s father, Jerod, described the terrifying moment they realized how badly their son was hurt, saying he could see deep into the wound. Doctors later told the family that if the blade had gone just one millimeter deeper, Sullivan wouldn't have survived.
Sullivan believes looking up at the Slingshot ride at the perfect time is the only reason he is alive to tell his story. Because he turned his head, the blade hit the side of his neck instead of his windpipe or a major artery.

There would be countless articles on WHY a white person would do a race attack against a black victim and what it says about white people and their race and America, and how all those things needed to be fixed and overcome.

And those stats are probably even skewed. Many times Hispanics and Blacks are characterized as “White” in jail booking documents.
Did you know that guy who killed Irena was one of 3500 violent convicts who were let out of prison by the former governor of North Carolina? They were murderers and rapists and some with life sentences.
That former governor who put them back on our streets is Roy Cooper. He is now running for the senate and is getting millions of dollars from the liberals.
Indeed the left are fanning the fire for race mongering chaos is all they have to offer.

A lot of recent murders and attempted murders by those who are way past the high crime years. Men in their forties and fifties. I guess a violent history and previous convictions for murder, say, might be predictive.
A lot of attacks by the mentally ill. More likely to be victims than commit violence, say the apologists for letting them roam the streets. Again, personal history would be more predictive.
In this case, the kid's the victim, not the perp. Perhaps the usual rules don't apply in this case, or maybe the parents consented to the release of their son's name.
