Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told Fox News' Matt Finn that no one was arrested and no one remains in custody following an operation in Tucson conducted Friday in connection to the Nancy Guthrie case.
Sources told Fox News Digital that at least three people had been detained in connection to a search warrant conducted at a residence in Tucson late Friday about two miles from Guthrie's home. Photos gave a partial view of one man handcuffed and detained in the parking lot of a Culver's restaurant nearby in connection to the search warrant, but no charges were confirmed.
Authorities have not named any suspects or persons of interest two weeks since 84-year-old Guthrie vanished from her Tucson home on Feb. 1.

Along with donuts and coffee.
In that part of the country it would be a long shot if it WAS a White guy.
The day pack has been the subject of verified investigative analysis which has since been made public.
However the balaclava has not been publicly subject to the same degree of scrutiny. Why not? The mask has a very distinctive style.
In Mexico there exists the masked wrestling pastime called “ lucha libre” which translated means “free struggle.” Might this be an indicator of the nationality of the perpetrator(s)?
The sheriff and/or the FBI should exert some effort in Mexico in tracking down the balaclava manufacturer. Also looking into local amateur wrestlers and boxers. Would the Mexican authorities cooperate if asked? There has been no public indication to my knowledge that they have been asked.
If the incident is a kidnapping then it would seem evident that the rear sliding door was left either open or unlocked for the intruder to discover and let himself in. Imho mancy was old enough and aware enough to know better and to keep the door locked if not also employ a bar on the bottom of the slide to block the door from opening. Perhaps she was coerced to open the back door via the blandishment use of the pistol?
On top of the sheriff being a bungling Dem, according to local LEOs the county district attorney, Laura Conover, is a Soros plant who bends over backwards not to prosecute career criminals, lets repeat offenders out without bail and acts like the perps are the victims. LEO has a special name for her, Laura Conout or something like that.
That sheriff is a North Carolina DEI hire who when told about the three branches of government and asked which one he served in, got it wrong! (Answered he served in the judicial branch!)
Newsmax is on my cable channel list and last night they had a reporter who caught up with swat and followed them in to the subdivision where they were operating. The target was up a dead end road and around a curve This was before the sheriff blocked off the intersecting road. He parked, stayed there out of the way and broadcast while the other news crews were not only unable to enter, they couldn't see anything. The Fox News drone found the location but only made a few passes before focusing back on the sheriff roadblock. I wonder if they were told to stay clear by LEO?
Mancy -> Nancy
Blandishment -> brandishment
Balaclava -> balaclava
I found a mask that seems similar online here:
If both the balaclava and the backpack were ordered online, then the intersection of the two orders formed by a single matching address might lead to the intruder’s address.
I imagine that the authorities are already pursuing this line of investigation and have simply chosen not to publish the results if any so far…
Unfortunately, seeds of control:
* Apprehend
* Detain
* Release
The Army should have been called into that neighborhood with rope line search.
According to AI, there are approximately 560 zip codes in Arizona.
On possible way to generate an approximate suspect list is to generate a list of online customers who have ordered either the specific daypacks or the specific balaclavas from addresses with the same ziocodes.
Unfortunately, a rigorous application of this method could result in some false positive suspects…
I’ve seen a little coverage on Newsmax, but not much. Nothing like 24/7 on Fox.
The clues so far seems to point in two different expertise directions— both professional and amateur.
This apparent contradiction could potentially be resolved without contradiction by positing the holding of a gang initiation gone bad and requiring a cleanup.
(There is a relatively recent movie centered around this theme but I cannot recall the title.)
The daypacks are also available in brick and mortar retail Walmart stores according to this article:
If it turns out to be illegals, I look forward to watching the mood of NBC not change.

you are correct
the cartels run LEO in parts of Arizona
and our governor
I think she died that same night
and at the rate things are going,
this will remain unsolved
Those of you following this case might like this 17 minute youtube analysis of the doorbell camera footage by Gray Hughes. I learned a couple of things here: the suspect approaches both with and without the backpack (and gun?); Nancy’s blood is not just on the doorstep tile but Fox reported a trail all the way to the driveway; Nancy was alive with head close to the ground when she coughed out that bloody spatter on the tile.

PS I doubt this is a buglary gone bad - you don’t bring a gun to a burglarly. I agree with Gray Hughes to look for connections to daughter Annie and SIL Tomasino.
I’ll watch, thanks
If that is the case, family gatherings will be awkward.
I think the sheriff did it.
