Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told Fox News' Matt Finn that no one was arrested and no one remains in custody following an operation in Tucson conducted Friday in connection to the Nancy Guthrie case.
Sources told Fox News Digital that at least three people had been detained in connection to a search warrant conducted at a residence in Tucson late Friday about two miles from Guthrie's home. Photos gave a partial view of one man handcuffed and detained in the parking lot of a Culver's restaurant nearby in connection to the search warrant, but no charges were confirmed.
Authorities have not named any suspects or persons of interest two weeks since 84-year-old Guthrie vanished from her Tucson home on Feb. 1.

Bad things happen to a lot of people every day. It’s usually not national news. But it’s different when the Ruling Class has a bad day. That sad event can provides weeks of entertainment and attention from the plebes.
It all ends in pizza.
The sheriff is a democrat that sent DNA evidence to a private lab in Florida instead of the FBI lab at Quantico.
I can only think of one reason for that and it’s sure not to help solve the case.
Pizza and pie deserve their own tier on the pyramid.
“I can only think of one reason for that and it’s sure not to help solve the case.”
I can think of at least three.
So true. It’s one of their own, thus the non-stop coverage.
The FBI has about 93,000 people officially listed as “missing.” No doubt many of those are children and young people. But alas, they’re not connected to some leftist news anchor, so if they turn up one day or not, the world keeps turning.....without a mention.
clueless...
Exactly! It was day nine or so when they started calling for people to review their ring cameras in the next day, they were asking people to review dash cam video
To think ANYTHING was going to come of last night’s actions was ludicrous.
Not many perps are stupid enough to stay that close to the crime scene and be hiding in “plain sight”.
Coppers just trying to look “busy”.
And in doing come off looking incredibly “clueless.”
Makes think of the Coen brothers’ Raising Arizona.
When Nathan Arizona tells supernatural bounty hunter played by Tex Cobb that he trusts the police to find the kidnappers, Cobb fires back the only that the police can find is a donut shop.
I thought they left her medication behind, and she needs it to live??
Hopped up on custard, I might have known!
Fox has been airing this story 24x7. Is there nothing else happening in the world?
Fox has always been the Missing White Girl Channel.
The Sheriff’s plan to keep the FBI out appears to be working.
How large is the life insurance payout to her daughter? Or the potential amount of inheritance?
How much did daughter Guthrie hold in her Bitcoin wallet, maybe she needs to get more coinage to make up for the 40% trimming it has had lately.
One thing that seems normal to me now, is that the higher profile and fame of a person, the more likely they are corrupt and heartless.
JMO.
Pima County is a deep blue area in the midst of a red state. It’s been described as a blueberry in the middle of a bowl of tomato soup. The sheriff is probably anti-Trump and probably hates the Kash Patel directed FBI. He also seems incompetent. Several major mistakes were made at the beginning of this, like not securing the Guthrie house right away. It’s a total evidentiary mess and will pose serious problems at trial if suspects are actually caught and prosecuted.
The poor elderly lady is probably dead and buried, and it’s anyone’s guess who’s responsible.
That sorry excuse for sheriff isn’t related to the sheriff who didn’t know we have different branches of govt (much less, what they are), is he?
