Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) is calling for federal action against the NFL and NBC following Sunday’s explicit Super Bowl halftime show.
In a post on X on Monday, Fine argued that the Spanish-language performance violated federal broadcast standards and should result in major penalties.
“You can’t say the f-word on live TV,” Fine wrote.

...The requested action would target the NFL, NBC, ...
I watched the other show on YouTube instead. Trusting that I did my part.
Will NBC just do a respawn like MSNBClsd transformed into pMS NOW /-) ?
“Dramatic action” is hopefully more than the strongly worded letter. And I hope it’s more than just fines. Fines they seem ok with.
In fact, the only half time shows allowed at the superbowl should be marching bands without any obnoxious pop singers whatsoever.
Smith-Mundt Act of 1948 needs to be looked at , and Obama’s legalization of lies and propaganda reversed IMHO.
Legion Media needs to be exercised.
Waste of time like the birth certificate. Got away with it.
The FCC isnt going to do anything
ie: we are living in a demonic controlled world.
Years ago,ie:- The rolling stones got kicked off the Ed Sullivan show for singing " let's spent the night together", too vulgar for 1967? .
Hey!! I always liked the frisbee-catching dogs too. Why can’t we have them?
It was a vile, filthy, disgusting, vulgar obscenity.
If it were in English, it would never have been allowed.
I can post the translation of the lyrics, but it might violate forum rules.
But in seriousness, so long as everyone stays dressed and nobody spews vile obscenities, they can have whoever they want do the show. If I don’t like it, I won’t watch. As a matter of principle, I oppose censorship, so I’d be hypocritical if I were to support banning halftime show acts simply because I don’t like or agree with them.

“Dramatic action” is right between strongly worded letter and ...Lookout. Momma just grabbed the wooden spoon!!!

The problem with Fine's argument is that he's either talking about lyrics that weren't even performed or are translated to more vulgar English words when the Spanish is toned down.
So I don't see this going anywhere. It seems like grandstanding.
Dramatic action? How about pulling their broadcasting rights.
Uh...he spewed obscenities
They tried that before. Countless other cable channels (most notably MTV) started running their own halftime shows and viewers fled to those.
Eventually, someone at the NFL said, "Maybe we should do an MTV-style halftime show to retain viewers?"
And in 1993 the Super Bowl featured Michael Jackson. History was made and Super Bowl halftime shows were never the same again.
Face reality. Nobody under 70 wants to return to the days of the Grambling State Marching Band, Elvis Presto, and "A Super Bowl Salute to Hollywood Musicals."
And those that do are not the demographic that the NFL even remotely cares about.
Next year the NFL will probably just go with a full on homosexual parade like they have in San Freako.
Or Punt, Pass, and Kick.
Except he didn’t.
The obscene lyrics posted all over X are from the “official lyrics” of his songs. But he didn’t sing those words. Believe it or not, he cleaned them up.
Two or three minutes of research dispels a ton of nasty crap that is posted on the internet to get clicks and make money for “influencers.”
It is sad when people in “authority” don’t have anyone on their staffs to fact check stuff. It makes them look like fools (like the Congressman who used the fake AI image of Ice shooting that guy in Minneapolis.). The “stupid” crosses party lines.
People need to remember that their Congressman is generally the kid who ran for student body President in high school. And they haven’t gotten any smarter or aware since high school.
