The recently appointed editor-in-chief of CBS News has allegedly refused to fire the network's new star 'wellness expert', despite his appearances in the Epstein files.
Bari Weiss became the TV station's boss in October, has pushed to increase the outlet's relevance by hiring 19 popular media personalities as contributors.
The announcement of those new hires was made exactly one week ago, on January 27, and among them was Peter Attia, the founder of wellness app Outlive and an influencer-podcaster with millions of followers online.
On Friday, the Department of Justice released the latest batch of Epstein files, in which Attia appeared more than 1,700 times.
Attia was exposed in the files for calling Epstein his 'friend' in hundreds of emails they exchanged, all of them after the sex offender was first convicted, creating expectations that CBS News would fire him.
But according to an anonymous source who spoke with The Wrap, Weiss told insiders she does not want CBS to cut ties with the contributor over fears she would be seen as caving in to the mob.
The editor-in-chief's position has reportedly created a rift between herself and the corporate heavyweights of CBS News' parent company, Paramount.
Senior Paramount executives believe the controversy should be handled by human resources and that Attia's tarnished reputation makes him too untrustworthy to provide expert advice on a national broadcast network.
The source told The Wrap that it is Weiss against 'everyone right now' and that Paramount CEO David Ellison may have to step in to make the final call on whether to fire Attia.
Attia's new position at CBS came under threat after it was revealed that he exchanged hundreds of emails with Epstein after the sex trafficker had been convicted in 2008 of procuring a child for prostitution and soliciting a prostitute.

Well what did he say in the emails? Was he getting it on with Russian prostitutes and/or minors?
And did he know about Epstein’s past?
1700 mentions? Cut him loose.
It sounds like the guy was trying to get some inside info
Peter Attia is an all around health guru in alt health circles. He has done some long distance swimming feats of 20 miles and more. He walks the walk.
Amusing that in their emails he behaved like Epstein’s puppy dog. Lured in for financial reasons in my opinion.
Anyone who says they didn’t know about Epstein’s past is a liar.
What I don’t understand is where is the backlash against Steve Bannon. He was actively trying to rehabilitate Epstein’s image. Yet no one is calling him out on it. It’s very odd. I’d figure at least the left would seize on that one. Honestly of all the data released it’s probably some of the most damning evidence out there. he was actively planning ways to make Epstein look better to the public!
Sources say, been said, reportedly.
Without a named source it is gossip
AI summary>>>>>>>
Peter Attia, a physician and longevity expert, exchanged numerous emails with Jeffrey Epstein between approximately 2014 and 2019, as revealed in a trove of over 3 million documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice on January 30, 2026. His name appears more than 1,700 times in the files.
The correspondence includes casual discussions, medical advice offers from Attia, and crude, sexualized banter about women, but no direct evidence of Attia’s involvement in any illegal activities.Key Emails and Their ContentHere are some notable examples from the released documents:In a February 19, 2016 email titled “confirmed,” Attia wrote to Epstein: “Pussy is, indeed, low carb. Still awaiting results on gluten content, though.”

This appears to be a crude joke referencing Attia’s interest in low-carb diets.
In a June 24, 2015 exchange with the subject line “Got a fresh shipment,” Attia messaged Epstein about receiving a delivery (which Attia later clarified was metformin, a medication for his own use). Epstein replied “me too” and attached a redacted photo, described by Attia as being of an adult woman. Attia responded: “Please tell [me] you found that picture on line … bastard.”
Epstein replied, “fraid not.” Attia then wrote: “You know the biggest problem with becoming friends with you? The life you lead is so outrageous, and yet I can’t tell a soul…”

In a January 2016 message, Attia wrote: “I go into JE withdrawal when I don’t see him,” referring to missing time with Epstein.

Other emails show Attia offering to review Epstein’s lab results or provide medical services, such as in February 2016 when he suggested going through Epstein’s labs “rigorously.”

There’s also a 2016 email where Attia asked Epstein if he was “interested in living longer (solely for the ladies, of course).”

“....TV station’s boss....”. Station? Those brits huh? 😊
Carry on Bari. You’re doing just fine.
Broadcast networks can change ownership and leadership but nothing really changes.
Lot of horse pucky about the Ellisons being Trump friendly.
Big media is lost.
Netflix and Google are making lots of money, but it ain’t happening elsewhere.
Peacock lost 552 million last quarter.
Probably will lose 1.5 billion this year.
I actually subscribed to Peacock on 25 dollar a year deal.
But I rarely watch it.
It ain’t worth the 50 cents a week its costing me.
Pay TV is lot like free TV, they can’t give away the woke crap.

There’s no credible allegation that anybody other than Epstein, Maxwell or Prince Andrew did anything illegal to the Epstein females.
I’m not aware of any outstanding warrants issued upon any allegation of an Epstein female.
Ellison put Bari in that position to protect everything Israeli, including the Epstein/Mossad spy and influence peddling scheme.
She’s doing what she was hired to do.
A summary of that would be needed for me to make an informed response. Otherwise, my response would be solely an emotional outburst.
Do you know that information?
If so, I would appreciate you providing a summary. Because lynch mobs are too often the result of emotionally driven reactions that are uninterested in learning the truth. Their belief is all that is required to convict and carry out sentence of immediate death or personal dstruction via majority opinion.
You do believe in due process right? I'm fairly sure you would demand that if it were you under attack even if you were guilty, but especially if you were innocent.
While I will agree that 1,700 seems like excessive communication, but what was the actual communication about?
The files have lots of allegations in the form of email correspondence.
Whether you choose to view them as credible is your call.
Whether they are “illegal” depends on the jurisdiction where the acts took place.
At the end of the day all of that missed the point.
This was an intelligence collection blackmail operation.
As far as I know, the female Attorney General of the State of New York has done nothing in the matter.
Perhaps there is nothing she needs to do.
“Lured in for financial reasons in my opinion.”
That’s what the Epstein ring did. You want young girls? “here they are”. You want professional connections in the Entertainment industry? “coming right up!”. Up and coming politician with ambitions, “we’ll shake loose a ton of money for you”.
Need access to the shady side of global banking? “Step into my office”....
It’s a huge con that they have Epstein reduced to just a P-Diddy sex party. It’s a huge bribery, blackmail and influence peddling outfit.
