Top lawyer, 46, who is married to one of Texas's most powerful attorneys was one of six killed in private jet crash while taking 'girls' trip' to Paris

The wife of a prominent lawyer was one of six killed in a horror private jet crash on a snowy airport runway.

Tara Arnold, 46, wife of personal injury attorney Kurt Arnold, died along with several of her friends on a girls' trip to Paris.

The Bombardier Challenger 650 business jet went down during takeoff from Bangor International Airport in Maine about 7.45pm on Sunday.

Dramatic footage showed the burning wreckage of the plane upside-down on the runway. Flight data showed it veered right during takeoff and flipped at 175mph.

The FAA earlier on Monday incorrectly said there were eight people on board including one crew member who survived.

Tara, a commercial lawyer with decades of experience, worked at her husband's law firm, Arnold & Itkin, since it was established in 2005.

She and Kurt live in an $11 million mansion in Houston with their two children, Jaxon and Isla.

The top Houston firm, to which the downed plane was registered, is known for defending undocumented migrants.

A page talking up the firm's expertise in aviation accident litigation was quietly removed from its website after the crash.

It’s a “cheap” jet as far as private jets go. Straight wing and slow. Not what I would chose to fly over the Atlantic.

They tend to be old and worn out.

Nope. Just a decent human being who doesn’t dance on a dead woman’s grave while her family is deeply grieving.

Unless you are talking about another accident jet, this jet was a swept wing Bombardier Challenger 650 that goes for ~$33M. Evidently the wing design has some issues in cold snowy conditions. This one according to articles I’ve read is a 2020 model and would have mostly new avionics and has a range of about 4.6K miles.

The 650 has “critical” wings that tolorate NO ICING. They talked the pilot into taking off a few minutes after the departure window after re-icing and as I understand the pilot did not do a hand check of the leading ege of the wing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoO8WeXJvTo Blancolario Chanel

I see from post 83 that the Bombardier Challenger goes for about $33 mil.

The storm was named Fern, which has an etymology deriving from *pornóm ("feather, wing; fern, leaf"). From p(t)erH-, "A hotly disputed root."

Tomorrow in history marks 40 years:

On January 28, 1986, Space Shuttle Challenger broke apart 73 seconds into its flight, killing all seven crew members aboard.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Shuttle_Challenger_disaster

On the one hand, this de-icing-focused topic looks like yet another unfortunate case of get-there-itis, albeit one involving wealthy anti-ICE, pro-illegal lawyers who also specialize in aviation accident litigation, so it's getting more attention than the typical, preventable, wealther-related misadventure.

Result: no shortage of "poetic justICE" [צדק שירי] angles coming together in the public comments.

OTOH, with it on the radar,

The Bombardier Challenger 650 business jet went down during takeoff from Bangor International Airport in Maine around 7.45pm on Sunday.

>>>

Audio from the aircraft's radio recording, heard by the Daily Mail, included a voice saying 'let there be light' minutes before the crash.

It was unclear whether the eerie line was spoken by one of the pilots or an air-traffic controller, or what they were referring to.

They may have been commenting on how Bangor's Runway 33 went from pitch-black to brightly lit after the runway lighting was switched on.

Timing and context of the light, re Exo 13:19 in the Chumash and Torah readings for Sunday-Monday:

Living with the Parsha For Real

Exo 13.19 And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him; for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying: 'God will surely remember you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.'

As for today:

Holocaust Remembrance Day
"Moshiach's Torah Scroll" completed (1970), 9 Shevat 5730

Exo 14.20 and it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud and the darkness here, yet gave it light by night there; and the one came not near the other all the night.

וַיָּאֶר - but it illuminated - i.e., the pillar of fire – “the night” for the Israelites. It went ahead of them as it would do every night, but the darkness of the cloud in front of the Egyptians hid the light from them.

Paris, aka the "City of Light"

Maine [מיין] = place of first light (sunrise) on CONUS

Maine = area code 207, "light" [אור]

It was unclear who proclaimed, "Let there be light", or why, but it certainly has a loud "Bat Kol" ring to it.

They may have been commenting on how Bangor's Runway 33 went from pitch-black to brightly lit after the runway lighting was switched on.

A general Google search for "runway 33" predominantly returns coverage and information about this event, which is close to its 1 year anniversary:

On January 29, 2025, a Bombardier CRJ700 airliner operating as American Airlines Flight 5342 (operated by PSA Airlines as American Eagle)[b] and a United States Army Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter operating as Priority Air Transport 25 collided in mid-air over the Potomac River in Washington, D.C. The collision occurred at 8:47 p.m. at an altitude of about 300 feet (100 m) and about one-half mile (800 m) short of the threshold of runway 33 at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Arlington, Virginia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025_Potomac_River_mid-air_collision

"Oddly" enough, that collision was also closely associated with ICE, on account of the loss to the figure skating community, of people who skate.

Among the passengers on the jet were 28 U.S. Figure Skating athletes, coaches, and family members returning from a national development camp held in conjunction with the 2025 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Wichita, Kansas. This included eleven skaters, all between the ages of 11 and 16, as well as thirteen accompanying parents and four coaches.

"Beautiful, events coming together. Plus a massive snowstorm in America to bring people together under a different umbrella!"☔️ Neshama

You might remember the places in the Tanakh that come together exactly 33 times, with the very SAME 2 + 2 = 4 MESSAGE.

If I had to describe the essence ("bones", substrate, foundation) of Joseph with one word, it would be

observation

(לשמר -- to keep, guard, observe, give heed)

"Let there be light", and there was light.

This private jet was based in Houston. The pilot might not have had much experience in inspecting deicing + plus was done at 745PM nighttime, so more difficult to inspect. You want to get your azz inside the warm airplane. It was 2 degrees Fahrenheit with wind prolly blowing too.

I watched the vid last night.

Supercritical wings are about 10% more efficient at transonic speed, but catastrophically lose lift when corrupted with the slightest amount of contaminant such as frost.

“People are rejoicing in....”

I rejoice in the death of evil people who act against the welfare of America at the expense of the American people.

Got it?

“A mother of two children....”

She was not a stay-at-home mother so drop your demagoguery.

And Who goes to Paris in January? Probably a money laundering trip to stuff cash into safety deposit boxes, bang some N. Africans and do drugs. You clearly have never been around uber wealthy and corrupt people. They are shockingly depraved, vile and ignorant.

That's a shame. They should have gone to Branson instead. A lot of folks have a pretty good time in Branson, even in the winter.

For these rich gals, they need a good dose of Paris style shopping and gourmet eating to run up their husbands credit cards. BBQ turkey drumsticks is gourmet eating in Branson.

You are psychotic.

For the record, many mothers work out of the home but they are still mothers. Drop your hatred of women.

And FYI, I worked for a private jet company for over a decade, flying billionaires and millionaires all over the world, and EVERYONE vacations in Europe all through the year so go back to your Cheeto stained beanbag chair in your filthy tighty whiteys and resume watching The Maury Show. Your ignorance and hatred is sickening.

Move on and never interact with me again.

Good day.

You are a perfect example of why women should not vote!

It’s all about you and your values. “I, I, I”... Me, me, me”

“My values, My values, my values!!” Your mind is that of people who drive with their exhausts removed to announce themselves. “me, me, me”

Yeah, go chase your “values” to ruination. It’s the only place they lead.

Shockingly these women died the same way ...chasing their values. Yeah, you have a connection to them.....

“a major failure in something?”

Yes, the pilot’s decision to take off in bad weather with a plane that doesn’t like bad weather.
