The wife of a prominent lawyer was one of six killed in a horror private jet crash on a snowy airport runway.
Tara Arnold, 46, wife of personal injury attorney Kurt Arnold, died along with several of her friends on a girls' trip to Paris.
The Bombardier Challenger 650 business jet went down during takeoff from Bangor International Airport in Maine about 7.45pm on Sunday.
Dramatic footage showed the burning wreckage of the plane upside-down on the runway. Flight data showed it veered right during takeoff and flipped at 175mph.
The FAA earlier on Monday incorrectly said there were eight people on board including one crew member who survived.
Tara, a commercial lawyer with decades of experience, worked at her husband's law firm, Arnold & Itkin, since it was established in 2005.
She and Kurt live in an $11 million mansion in Houston with their two children, Jaxon and Isla.
The top Houston firm, to which the downed plane was registered, is known for defending undocumented migrants.
A page talking up the firm's expertise in aviation accident litigation was quietly removed from its website after the crash.

They couldn’t afford a motel in Bangor so had to go.
One wing stalled before the other which flipped it.
Blanco is about as good as it gets on aviation accidents. He wouldn’t have gone at gun point.
She was queen...boss’s wife.
i believe those lawyers were anti-ICE antifa lawyers doing the dirty in Maine...
They’d be suing themsekves...or more likely the survivors of the pilot/aircraft manufacturer/subcontractors/ATC staff/FAA/weather forecasters/deicing company/airport management etc. They’ll find somebody...they didn’t get filthy rich by being ethical.
Sad so many live so carelessly. Going up in a plane is not normal no matter how common it’s become. Same for skydiving bungee jumps etc. People should praise God for his mercy every time they land safely because betting on a machine and pilot repeatedly to take you swiftly up, sustain you up there and safely land is always a gamble with your life. The Bible warns us not to be foolish.
You should give the stooges credit for your law firm name
Trafficking is big business. Everybody involved wets their beak.
How could they not have suspected storm? It was all over news and common talk by lots of people.
People just think things will never happen, and all too often don’t want to have to change plans, or think they can beat the risk.
Pretty foolish for a mom of two, not sure if kids were still small, but the pilot and everyone who got onboard were not wise in light of weather.
Our world’s technology, mechanical ways, etc, have become common but remain not normal. This causes people to be put their lives on the line daily without truly thinking clearly about it.
The firm also apparently specializes in aviation litigation, ironically.
Much safer than driving.
😆😂🤪
In hindsight, the pilot should have gone to Bangor in the motel, but he thought he saw an opening.
Will he buy a new ‘plane?
Why do they have to add such personal information which isn't relevant to the crash?
It was close to single digit temps that day and at the time of the crash. The snow was light and fluffy. I spent most of yesterday moving it around.
You are correct that often the snow up here is wetter than what is found elsewhere, but not this weekend. It’s been very cold for here.
Red meat for the various tribes.
Go fever
It was reported that the law firm was leftist with ties to soros. Unsure if true.
