Waffle House locations across the South locked their doors in a rare move as a monster winter storm threatens much of the country this weekend — a stark warning of the havoc to come.
The 24-hour Southern breakfast chain, famous for rarely closing in bad weather, shut down its griddles as locations in South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Mississippi went into a “Code Red” Saturday as Winter Storm Fern barrels across the Midwest and East Coast, multiple outlets reported.
In South Carolina — where the incoming system has prompted its first ice storm warning since 2005 — Waffle House employees signaled widespread closures across the Palmetto State, The Post & Courier reported.

Here in northeast Oklahoma, we were warned of 12-18 inches of snow. So far, we’ve had about 3 or 4 inches. Did they over forecast everyone, or just us?
It’s pretty cold here in Oklahoma, in the single digits, but we were in the 60’s a couple of weeks ago, and will be again in about a week to 10 days. Thank God we didn’t get any ice.
The WX boyz have been forecasting Ice in Bell County Texas for over a week. The idiots started a rumor here that the ICE agents from Minniedishu were being forwarded here. Weird. Saw a 400 lb. Darien Gap mammy at the Chinese Buffet wearing a “*uck ICE” shirt. The ho made me proud to be an American. All the kids were asking their parents if they could get one.
I’d love to see a picture of the streets in South Caronlia that are prompting this unprecedented shutdown. How much snow is on them? An inch?
Yea they busted this forecast low... here in Pit we are at 10” with about 6 hours left of heavier snows. Back in the 2010s they used ALWYS forecast low... part of the GlobalBull Warming crap they were peddling... trying to gaslight folks into thinking their Winter is being stolen by Republicans. Some local idiot Met is being roasted on social media... he called this a “mixed” storm for us here with maybe 6” of snow.

I am on the outer edge of this this storm. We got 5-6 of snow. 50 miles south was in the 10-12 range. That can be debilitating for a few days in rural areas, especially if the wind is blowing..

I hope ICE agents are bundled up good and on the job in Minnesota. Make those stupid ICE protestors earn that Soros money by freezing their butts off. ICE agents should have Super Soaker water guns to soak them and watch them turn into popsicles.
