PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – A Panama City woman was arrested on Monday after she allegedly poisoned her roommate’s spaghetti with a cleaning solution.
According to court documents, Carolyn Marie Chalfant, 63, added bleach or peroxide to the leftover spaghetti that was set out for the victim.
This was allegedly after the victim’s wife and children finished eating.
Panama City Police reported that once the victim returned home, Chalfant turned on the stove to reheat the spaghetti, and after the victim made himself a bowl.
It was reported that the victim realized it tasted odd after he ate about four bites. His wife then tasted the spaghetti and told him not to eat anymore because it smelled like bleach.
Officers said that after inspecting the bottom of the pan, they noticed it no longer had the color of the spaghetti sauce.
Officers also reported that earlier in the day, the victim noticed two bottles of peroxide on the counter near the kitchen.
Chalfant was arrested for poisoning food, water, or medicine with the intent to kill or injure.

In the article they state wife & he as the victim, so I am not sure why roommate is used. Unless he is a biological female who identifies as male. It also mentions children, but the children have to be adults unless one is much younger than the 63 age they attrubite to the perp.
Couldn’t afford mushrooms.
She looks like she’s no stranger to the pennetentiary.
“”Chalfant turned on the stove to reheat the spaghetti, and after the victim made himself a bowl.””
What was she reheating it for after the victim had dished his up?
As ugly as whatever that is, IT should have taken the poison instead.

“The Attorney of the accused has released a lengthy statement to the press. It’s not quite a confession, but still curious. The one paragraph is entitled:
“If I Did it”. “ ////
“In the article they state wife & he as the victim, “
The wife is not listed as a victim.
“so I am not sure why roommate is used. “
Roommate used to describe an unrelated person sharing the house.
“Unless he is a biological female who identifies as male
That is a weird assumption!
“but the children have to be adults unless one is much younger than the 63 age they attrubite to the perp.”
The children belong to the victim and his wife, not to the perp.
You don’t use bleach to poison someone because the small would give it away immediately and it would take a lot to kill someone so the first taste would give it away too. And peroxide would have turned into water as soon as the bubbles were gone. Maybe she just wanted to make him sick not kill him. Bleach is just a terrible choice to try and do that.
Looks questionably crazy to me.
That’s only part of the risk. I knew a fellow who rented a separate house. I doubt he made anything on it as the tenants wouldn’t care for it.

I had said that he was the victim, the article states that the older female roommate added the foreign substance. The wife tasted it after he had tried 4 bites and told him not to eat anymore.
So, was the older lady the roommate living in a married couple's, with children, home?
I couldn't remember the spefics, but the story is confusing, and hy is the roommate & not the wife undersuspicion as well.
Now, I admit that I din't click, and I still haven't Perhap's in the article the information not present in th epost is there. The pictue provided shows her in the jail dressed in jail issued clothing so naturally that makes her look even worse than she probably presented herself when inquiring about the room for rent.
I may even be mistaken that that she was renting from them, and that the whole family wasn't renting from her.
My response to the other Freeper is that the post itself is confusing as posted. Becuase it listed the wife & and children, and that he was the victim. Yet, the headline Sais she poisened the roommate, whick implies that he was renting from her It is also singular. If he owns the house, she is the rommate, not him.
Besides that you knew exactly what I was saying, because I said he was the victim, not the wife, which was the first part of the sentence, separated by a comma, and he was the victim. My intent was that one would have to read the story further, because what is posted in unclear.
This is because you always are trying to prove that you are smart and I am dub. I make mistakes, and when I do I admit to my mistakes.
You on the other hand repeatedlty make mistakes, and you never own up to your mistakes.
As always, have yourself a blessed day.
LOL. That was my first thought also.
Ignore the foaming and whitening of the sauce, just put it in your mouth.
Peroxide is not poison. Bleach, that is a horse of a different color. Just breathing enough of the fumes will kill you.
